She appears if you have companions to be kidnapped or not. But generally, if you have Lae'zel, Gale, Minthara and Halsin one of them will get abducted by Orin. Unless you romance one and the other 3 are in your party all the time one of them will get taken. The rule is it can't be them if one they are your romanced companion or in your active party. After the patch which allows you to have Minthara and Halsin it is possible to have all 4 of them present in your camp.

I used to hate turn based combat, third person games are the only ones I used to play. I hadn't even heard of DnD before. When I heard BG3 beat spiderman 2 in the awards i had to find out what made this so special. Four hours in and it just opened up a whole new world for me, the exploration and the time i spend was so worth it. I felt like I was back to being that kid who used to get so engrossed in something that the world around me just fades into the background. I didn't realise i had to learn to have fun again, and this masterpiece of a game triggered it in me. Unlike other games which are pretty predictable in their story and gameplay, this game actually demanded my attention, i couldn't just mindlessly wander around doing the same side mission in 100 different locations. This game will always be one of the best experience I've ever had, it taught me something really valuable, you're not necessarily having fun just because you apportion your time to have "fun" . To have fun is to let go, to allow yourself be immersed and focused on something that may seem so trivial and unproductive to others...

I think the greatest thing baldurs gate 3 does , better than anyone, is keep the freedom fair and consistent, and small interactions that make sense. Like the game rewards you for being smart and creative, and thats something that goes a long way. When I had to deal with priestess gut, i couldnt do itt for the first few times in a straight up fight cux she would call the guards, so I used silence on her and voila, she can no longer call the fucking guards. Like it was so simple and made such sense I was like "Why did i not think of this shit before" Or the fact that in the city, when im fighting enemies, I could just use a spell to toss one of them out and then the entire fucking city watch would fight with me , instantly making a boss fight into a cakewalk. This game rewards freedom and creativity so much, on top of doing everything else well.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a truly rare breed of narrative-choice-driven role-playing game that has long gotten the short end of the stick over the course of game-design history, usually manifesting in forms like Fallout: New Vegas... as truly spectacular, once-in-a-generation roleplaying experiences that needed to be patched up by fans to truly shine because at launch they were unfinished and broken. Western RPGs tend to have that problem more often than other genres; designers who make them are often extremely ambitious to the point that they want to stretch the medium of videogames to their absolute limits, but they also often aren't provided the time or budget to make that ambition reality (and polish it at the same time). BG3 is the exception to the rule, a case where that level of ambition met circumstances that allowed for both the time *and* the budget, and while it wasn't 100% perfect at launch, it was a lot farther along than the genre usually gets and achieved strong enough success that it's been actively supported by the devs for a lot LONGER than a game like this would usually be allowed to... and still is! There's been some strong contrarion pushback, and some frankly toxic discourse cropping up (when is there not?), but at the end of the day, it's just a historic title in the genre, a showcase of what could be done if more developers with the same level of ambition had what they needed to make it real. Perfect? No. As a fan of BG1 and 2, I even have some problems with the writing choices made at certain points. But regardless of those, I am beyond overjoyed that this game exists, and look forward to revisiting it over and over as the years go by.

But tieflings looks pretty amazing, and I'm always sad to know that they are not well liked in the dnd universe, by the fans they are well loved though. @@Karomix3 I always want to have a visually appealing looking character, I mean I'm gonna spend minimum 50+ hours with them, making them looking ugly on purpose will only be funny for so long. Human is definitely the most boring though, the fact that almost every race besides Human has their own special dialogue for certain scenes is such an amazing detail that I missed because I was human.
@Karomix39 ай бұрын
@@MilkManSteve Yeah, humans also have pretty faces, ngl I'm not the most impressed with some of the elven faces, especially the men, they all look like guys in their 40's at most, while you can at least have elf woman who has a teenager face, the half-elves men are prettier, and it irks me. Those dialogues can also happen if you play as one of the Origins character, for example if you play as Astarion he will have some Elf answers. But the party already have Gale and Wyll as humans, which I find that it sucks because why 2, we have one elf, one half-elf, one tiefling and one githyanki, why did we need 2 humans? On top of me thinking Wyll is the most boring character out of the main 6, I wish they swapped him for Alfira or that scrapped companion that was supposed to be a halfling werewolf if I recall correctly. But the worst part of the game is pratically the character customization, too many good options, which means I literally have separate runs of literally every starting class at the beginning, and 2 are clerics. XD Also I didn't do a Rogue one because I already am doing an Astarion run. All those runs are still in Act 1, because some I deleted and redid, like my first Astarion run and first created character run, then deleted a couple more, and since I only had the game since december, well, I keep finding stuff at my own pace which means that then I try it in the other runs to have it all, and well if I ever finish the game it might be in 2025 at the space that I'm going. Funniest part is that I'm not even using mods to make characters, not sure I can on my Playstation 5, but I just find some looks interesting, and believe me, I'm lucky if I don't pretty much take over an hour and a half to just make one character, I got many runs where when I get free from my pod on the nautiloid my game tells me I have been playing this run for 1h22 minutes, when I know very well that I spent it all on my character, because what if I use this tattoo, this color for it, this skin color, ect, ect. Especially the hair and the eyes, my god. XD I'm not not gonna play anything else but this and League of Legends for a very long time I feel, and I'm not complaining at all. XD

When I wrote on BG3's le subreddit that the combat is easy even on Tactician, they wanted to crucify me. Apparently it's normal, for example, to assume that on the default difficulty the Act 2 inn fight (where the bro tries to kidnap the cleric) is something you're supposed to lose. I literally had to replay the fight three times on Tactician trying to lose it to see what happens, because the ghouls kept killing themselves Benny Hill chasing after the cleric (who just kept running in a circle healing herself every time she got damaged) triggering opportunity attacks from my team. And the boss dude was so bossy, my fighter Tav could've killed him on the first round of combat. I had more and worse problems with BG3 than an average last gen console player had with Cyberpunk 2077, but that also made me a target, because BG3 apparently had no bugs whatsoever on release. Let's just ignore I had a fucking save delete itself on me and I had to replay the entire Githyanki Creche from the very start as a result (I blame it on the combat being so easy I had no reason to make backup saves and just used the quick save). Or how non-lethal takedowns didn't work at all on release.

But there were so many times during my first playthrough where I genuinely felt burnt out or like I wanted to fucking die due to how frustrating it could be at times, and I'm not saying 'frustrating' for the right reasons like missing an attack or a roll, I'm not that petty.

Dialogue options haven’t mattered this much since a while, maybe Disco Elysium. For example, if you want to have a relationship with Karlach you have to find pieces special Metal to help her touch people again. When you finally achieve it, you have the option of hugging or kissing her but choose to not sleep with her in act 2 and then move to act 3, she then decides to politely tell you that you can still my GREAT friends. I know this, because my smooth brain messed it up big time and I deleted the save file for extra space.

I saw easy click and point Gameplay. I thought it was an easy game. I buy said easy game yay.... I don't know what is DnD... I don't know what is turn-based. I don't know what is dice rolls... I don't know what strategy is... I don't understand what's happening... I struggled.................. hard... I hated my life and the game......... But then... The struggle became obsession. The companions the drug. The story the remedy I needed... But now more than ever.... I need an OUT of this addiction!!!

I started my fifth playthrough and... this game is a complete mess. An amazingly fun mess. I found out if you knock Shadowheart out in the Nautiloid the game will always crash when getting to the beach. Also, if you knock Minsc out before the dialogue in the sewers without triggering combat (stealth ftw) and make a long rest, he skips the entire cutscene of the Emperor refusing to protect him, starts the Boo cutscene immediately and joins the party. If you knock Minthara out in a similar way in Act 1, she can be recruited in Act 2, but if you recruit Halsin they'll both use the same tent for the entire game. The traveler chest of my previous run (the Honour one) got so filled with trash that I'm st the risk of crashing the game if I press "Take All". The chest of the mundane is bugged and it has some Schrodinger arrows of Ilmater that are both in the chest and in my inventory at the same time. It's when you beat this game four times that you start seeing all the oversights, mistakes and jank this game has, and the best of it is, it only makes the game better, not worse. I love this mess and the imperfections only make it a more beautiful masterpiece.

I was one of the many prescient ones who bought Early Access as soon as it came out. I'll always feel like I have some bragging rights there, but--at the end of the day, we all get to play it and that is awesome. No need to get on at the first stop; everyone's welcome aboard the BG3 love train.
@seanpinkey21889 ай бұрын
Listen, I am coming from a place of respectfully harsh criticism for you. It's because I care. People should play the games they love most because they find it enjoyable, like good games ought to be. Not because of speculation from KZbinr gaming channels whom find it appealing or not. I can appreciate you making this video, but to those of us that already knew how good this game was, whenever a hateful KZbin video went up about BG3 (and especially if the narration was just regurgitating articles written already by other shills) the channel found itself placed in the trash folder faster than spam. It's healthy to have conflicting opinions and conversations but most of the hater content is the same nonsense. Your prior opinions shared the same lazy pattern of doubt and hate. This video seems like a clumsy grasp at views from the community after some disparaging comments. A feeling of " See? I like it now. " Vibes I do hope you are enjoying the game, it seems you are. But going foreword gather data and make an opinion for yourself, not clickbait titles, rather than follow the herd like cattle. We will be here for you G. Data doesn't lie, people lie. This is too damn good of a channel to let that happen. I will be back for the next video, MMS because I find this channel enjoyable, like a good game ought to be. Thank you. cheers

Yeah, this is a game that's really hard to hate. Once you accept that you don't have to meta-game everything and just enjoy the story, it's basically the most fun game in the world. The only way you wouldn't like the game is if you just honestly don't really like the story.

7:00 this is not technically AIs fault, it is a simple programming oversight, where they forgot to label these new type of lingering AoE effects as visible hazarda for the AI, since DOS2 didn't have these particular hazard types So basically, the AI had no idea there was Cloud of Daggers there, the same was true for all similar spells as well like Moonbeam
