Aleksey Yeleseev from the village of Peskochevo, Tver region, served in prison almost entire adult life . He was convicted of murder and robbery. When he was less than a year away from being released, he was offered to join the ranks of the Russian armed forces. He agreed. In the very first battle, his group was destroyed, Alexei was the only one who remained alive and unharmed. In an interview with Lubomir Ferens, our hero told the story of his crime, explained why he decided to switch prison for war, and admitted that he is grateful to Ukrainians
