The meat plants were famous for dropping trailers within inches of each other. There were many times down in Dodge City Kansas where I had to have one of their yard jockeys come over to move the trailer so that I could get into it properly. I'm a Husky guy and I'm not fitting down those little spaces that they create between those trailers. Anyway keep it between the lines and God bless.

When I was trucking,I carried a 50 ft air hose with a gladhand on one end,to put on your red hose, and air chuck on other end to use when I had a low tire.worked real good.stil have it,if you stop by Fremont nebr at sapp bros.ill give it to you.dont need anymore as I'm retired.

I was really surprised to hear that you don’t have an air hose mainly because is coming from a veteran driver. An air hose is a must to have in the truck!

Hey Kurt, I was a lot younger than you are when I freaked because the the lights were out on the reefer unit on my trailer. I even pulled over and was headed back to the doors but I happened to glance at the tires and suspension, they weren't loaded, then it dawned on me. I had left the yard to run across MO to pick up a load for Eugene, OR. I was so used to picking up a loaded trailer of frozen meat when leaving I had forgot I was running empty with the reefer turned off. Talk about a walk 🚶♂️ of shame back to the tractor.

Reminds me of the time I pulled into the service plaza in Connecticut, exhausted. Popped the brakes and fell asleep on the steering wheel; when I woke up and saw all the trucks parked around me, I thought I fell asleep behind the wheel and caused a pileup. Took me about 5 minutes to calm back down. Let’s just say I was awake for the rest of the trip back 😂

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣So for two seconds you were wondering if you left the trailer at the last rest stop like a pair of sunglasses, sorry I know laughing is mean but it is chuckle funny. I have been across Kansas in a U-haul going to Colorado it is just field after field of corn no sign of life, it becomes mind numbing and time slows down, I believe that stretch of road is what gave Stephen King the idea for "Children of the corn?"

For the air fitting, tee into the air under your seat, put a quick connect on it and you will be all set. My dad used to keep a spiral air hose to blow the floor off/out. A 25 or 50 foot standard hose could be plugged in too. Mount the reel under the bunk if it will fit. I think the reel needs to stand vertical in order to operate properly. Good luck. Little further into the video. I was pulling a car trailer with my pick up, had another pick up on the trailer, looked in the mirror, the interior mirror, and for a split second thought that guys very close to my bumper, and why does that truck sit so high. All happened in about 2 seconds, very odd feeling!

Sometimes You Don't Know Truthfully unless You find out for Yourself.. Then to get some Good Bonified printed Results from other known Truckers who use Amsoil.. Yes it's a Hard decision but 1st Class I'm sure has treated you well both hard & soft miles.. You got this Sir Kurt👍
@jerryhubbard4461 Жыл бұрын
I am a firm believer in Amsoil. I don't know about the truck but I certainly run it in my Harley-Davidson. It is expensive and I can't imagine how much it will cost for the truck. I have used it in my bikes for over 15 years in all three holes. If you put Amsoil in your bike tranny, you will instantly notice how much smoother that gears change. The motorcycle kit is about $115 shipped to your house and that includes tranny and primary plus oil filter and O rings. I change the fluids in my HD once each year in the spring. That usually averages less than 10,000 miles. Yes, I too am an Amsoil Adam subscriber.

Kurt, I too once suffered from "brain farts". As I'm your parents' age, I've noticed that such occurrences have progressed to "senior moments". I find them somewhat entertaining. Moving along, as often the case after viewing your videos I picked something to look into. Today it was Kinsley, Kansas. Roadside America pointed out its claim to be the midway point between New York City and San Francisco. Looking into famous people from Kinsley I came across the 1950s/1960s character actress Madge Blake. She was quite popular in my youth, back when I watched television.

Well I’ve picked up a few dropped trailers outta the “stinky” “cow” town of Dodge City. I gotta think those shag drivers leave the trailers extremely low, because I drop all the air out backing under every time. That way you can get the landing gear up to pull out, without the human “squeeze” slot?
