😂 the same thing when i had my 21 softail standard. Parking lot was stone and shot the detent ball out never found it. Went to work and cut apart a sealed bearing and took all the balls out, took em home and finally got them on.

Turn the Radio off if you think parts are going to go flying. I was working on my snowmobile and a snap ring flew off while the radio was on. I found it a year later when I was moving things and cleaning.

Passengers: Always ask the Rider if they are ready for you to Mount & Dismount. Sit up straight! and Sit down in the saddle behind the rider. Squeeze knees in close to the bike, and feet on those foot pegs. No sudden movements when the bike is going slow or especially stopped. Relax and enjoy the ride. Then you are good! 😊

LOL, awesome video! Just about how we all feel every time we try to do stuff, but just edit it out..lol. Good on you for showing it as it really is! I made a video on rear pegs by Kemimoto for the LRST that just uses a bolt... Yep, no spring chasing with that guy. And I loved the Thrashin rear mini boards, but still had to buy all the mounts and junk as you mentioned. I know, I know, no help now but maybe later once you have time. Ride safe and enjoy the time!

This was so relatable. I worked on my brother's road glide as he has 0 mechanical skills. I said how hard could working on a Harley be as I've only owned Japanese bikes and a few Ducati and yeeted the instructions for the passenger pegs. Then proceeded to lose that spring twice in the garage. I don't think I've ever dropped as many F bombs while working on a bike before.

I love introducing young ones to motorcycles! Just the other day I was stopped at a gas station, and a little girl and her mom walked by, and she was so excited about the bike, so before I left, I let her rev it. Huge smile on her face! I hope she grows up to be a rider!
