Tragic life story. When I was 13 years old (1993) I was jumped into a gang called Vckys Town in East L.A . A year later I was arrested for tagging and my mom sent to Mexico, to a small town called Isla del Conde in Nayarit. I had to wake up at five in the morning to help my uncle and cousin in the fields. We had no running water I had to shower in the middle of the patio with a hose and cold water. I was there until I turned 18 and decided to come back. Eventhough I was mad at my mom for years, I now realize that that was the best thing she ever did for me. As for the 4 guys that jumped me into the gang, one was killed in Tijuana after serving 17 years of a life sentence, one was killed in the streets, one is serving a lwop sentence, and the fourth has a drug an alcohol problem. Be grateful and stay out of that life style.

I was out in the Terre at 13 too. Was only out there for a couple months but I remember having to wake up at 3 a.m. with my grandfather - who would do a ritual killing of a becerro for the carniceria. I remember the ritual, every meticulous step taken in preparing the animal for the slaughter, including a prayer. The pigs were the loudest! You could hear them from the next ranchito. I was also charged with the daily task of taking over a flock of 50 cows and bulls to water at the local presa. Was truly an eye opening experience.

I somewhat can relate to Pelon. Not in a street gang or anything. I joined the Army as an infantry soldier in 2000. For 4 months, we were deprived of everything other than two hots and a bunk. I remember missing the simple things like going to Jack in the Box for a burger and curly fries, hugging my mom or playing video games with my brother. But I knew one day I’ll be able to do that and appreciate more. Pelon knows he will never be able to do simple things that he mentioned. I pray he’s a changed man and God gives him another chance at life.

Great interview. This brother has some great advice for the youth. I always say the same to the youth , don't waste your life. My father and his brother both died in prison and me and my bro followed in their foot steps only I woke up somewhere along the line and I been home and out of trouble for 22 years. My brother unfortunately is in prison now for a shooting. This type of life can go on from generation to generation until someone steps up and corrects the behavior. We grow up in this type of environment and we thinks that it's a normal life. It's not normal to be living in a cage like an animal.

While in calipatria state prison California in the mid 90's the yard I was on C yard the keys to the yard were being given to young kids who had little to no experience on running the yard. I was there on that yard for 3 and half years. In that time 6 different youngsters had the yard. All 6 of them were eventually moved on for making bad calls. Even the 7th one when I was close to being paroled was trying to clean up a call that he had made. I don't know what became of him on account of my being released. The reason for my story is? Best not to get involved with the politics. Eventually more likely than not you could be the next on that list. Stay away from gangs. Look how many solid dudes who have chosen a different life. Some to late. Others having to watch their backs for the rest of their lives.

She would say to me, Mijo your not embarrassed to be seen with me,? No of course not I replied!! Then she said her kids/my cousins don't ever want to go. But 4real though God Bless this dude. I can feel his recently discovered clarity. if it's one thing I remind myself of constantly, it's of change. Because life changes, situations change, ppl change and it's Often change for the betterment of the varrio and familia. I like to put things in perspective. When I was 10 yrs old, video games were probably the biggest thing gone on in my life. Then chicks & the block by age 13 and sports and cars by 17 and bars and clubs by 20 and then backyard bbq's and my career and then kids and on and on we evolve, right? We continue to explore life's great adventure and we continue to expand our ideology of what our life has to offer and we continue to decide what direction we now want our life to head in. But just like video games are not as important to me now, like when I was a kid. The mob life and the Importance of your reputation amoung your peers and adversaries changes too. That all evolves and expands as well. We know that's a fact. So i have to make sure that i do NOT lock myself in to one portion of this journey. Because then, I can't level up. if I'm in prison at age 35, for some buwlshyt I did when I was 27, thats gonna be a problem. So I refuse to paint myself into a corner like that. We gotta plan for the emergency. That. Emergency might be a dude calling u a puccy. Don't let that violate your whole lifes plan bro. Because at 50, your not gonna care wtf that dude said. I promise u that. We probably won't even remember 😆

These youngsters don't really care about your story. They will label you a rat, informant, or someone who is speaking a little to freely to the public. Spent 17 consecutive years in doors. Kept my mouth closed and respected these brothers because they have the power to put you asleep if you make a mistake. Been free almost 20 years, and the nightmares never go away. Honestly it is only a matter of time before the EME falls apart. And looses all its authority. So many good homies have been pencile whipped and forced to the SNY side. Serious question yall frfr.. why everybody say after getting locked up !! I wish someone had of told me?? Bruhhhh like where was yall at when everybody kept saying your gonna end up dead or in jail.. then while you doing time your extremely miserable but get out and glorify the time you did like it's the coolest thing in the world..."yeah boy i took that on the chin it's nothing 2 ya boy!!" If you want better for your people tell them the truth so we can break the cycle...they want us in cages!! yall have been taught not only to except it but to dress it up more and continue to sell it to the ones that come after yall..time is the most valuable thing we get on this earth and we are wasting it for trying to impress people that don't care about you!! Taking advantage of a situation by sending someone else in to take the fall is called a " crash dummy "... so what does that make yall? No Disrespect jus trying to put the message out there 😒 I don't even care if you don't thumbs up the comment please at least read it!! Smarten up folks frfr✌️

quit trying to make people feel sorry for you by playing victim...people try to talk to you but you refused to listen when you should have! There are alot of Good Homies that been there done that and Share the real with the younger Homies so they won't go that Route!
