He’s a fan favourite, very decent bloke and not a terrible fighter. We all root for Dave but it’s got to the point where I am fed up of hearing the same things. He needs a new trainer, he needs to start taking it seriously and live the life of a pro. He gets given endless opportunities and has a great following but it’s dangerous the amount of shots he takes. I hope this is the last wake up call but I highly doubt it is. He will end up seriously hurt sooner or later. At the end of the day he has to earn his wage but doing it this way is just stupid and dangerous, if every fight is like this one he won’t last much longer. Definitely won’t get past domestic level but I wish him all the best. He needs to sort it out and lose a stone at least.

Maybe having a trainer that ensures their fighter is match fit could be an idea. Many of the top trainers wouldn't take the walk wiith their fighter if they knew they weren't ready.
