See Nat, I break all the rules. At all my favorite restaurants I generally know what I want off the menu so I do this really strange thing called: ordering for dine-in. (Some restaurants refuse to do this so I never go to that restaurant.) I arrive at the popular burger grill here in town during rush hour where there are people waiting some 45 minutes for their food to arrive, the waiter sees me, shows me to my table, and immediately grabs my finished Outlaw Burger and places it on my table. Little do they know I called in and ordered the bugger 45 minutes before I got off work.

To be honest, I was once at this fast food place where my friend and I had ordered together. We kept it really simple, large fries and large nuggets to share because we were on a tight schedule. There were also a lot of other people around us, but we watched as they all got their orders before us even though we had ordered first. Some of them even had similar orders to ours, so it wasn't like our food (which was one of the basic staples of this place) was taking longer to make or anything. It may sound silly that they would have forgotten about us, but they definitely did forget about us, and when we finally got their attention, they were out of fries and made us wait five more minutes before giving us our nuggets, even though we tried to tell them to just forget the fries because we had to go.

Once I was at Boston Pizza and the waitress brung everyone else in my family's food, didn't bring mine, she said she would bring it in a minute, a half an hour later, my dad complained and said I hadn't got my food yet. I was really hungry at that point. The waitress said she would put all the other meals on hold. All around us, other people got their food. It's not always 'first come first served' when it comes to ordering food at restaurants Nat. It depends on what you order... If you order slow-cooked lamb-shank which normally takes 2 hours to cook, of course you won't get it first. Order instant noodle instead, it will come to you in 2 minutes. :-)
