We live in a disgusting world. How can someone want to pay to have sex with someone against their will, a child against their will, a child who hasn’t showered or brushed their teeth against their will. All of it disgusting. This poor lady. Being forced to sleep with 24,000 people in 1 year is crazy.

People also sometimes say that trafficking isn’t a big issue because of how underground it is. There are so many ignorant evil people out there. And people these days literally look up to a trafficker and are blissfully ignorant about it. This woman is so strong with what she’s been through. There needs to be more awareness and education about this.

This is incredibly terrifying and I feel like trafficking is something I have dissociated from realizing it is incredibly common and entirely possible. I was very nearly trafficked when the super bowl was held in my city. I didn't even realize what it was at the time and my past trauma of SA from an ex locked those memories down. I'm very glad that Jay shared her story

yo so I worked at a motel for like 4+ years graveyard shift and it was one of those run down cheap motels and certain stuff you had to really pay attention too like little details and its crazy how much stuff goes on in motels. I remember this one girl she didn't speak engilsh and was with this guy who would pay and speak for her he would direct her to stay in the vehicle and certain body language you could tell something was up and its soo hard to determine whether this person is in trouble or not. They would stay under the week rate and would have guys going in and out of the room like clear to me its most likely prostitution and we contacted police about it and had regular patrols around the motel for stuff like this also break-ins cause we had a really run down side that was vacant. it was annoying because the owners didn't really care about anything as long as they got money and it was a big learning experience when it come to people and body language I still sometimes get mad at my self for not doing more if I could but that was one incident that stuck with me a lot, like what if it was a person who needed help. later there was arrests at the motel for trafficking and drug dealing but I wasn't around to see if it was that person. there was a lot of crazy nonsense that happened at that motel I'm just glad I'm not working there anymore. this just made me think how hotels or motels really are a hub for criminal activity like crazy and these people are very smart they know all these grey areas of the law so is so impossible for police to help sometimes the police really hit these brick walls and cant proceed with certain things cause it infringes on rights. its hard. sorry about the ramble and grammar lol

We talked for hours so a lot was edited for obvious reasons. 💙 I have a great relationship with sex. What happened to me was not sex. It was 🍇. So I don't associate the two. It has taken me time, safety, and hard work to get to that place. That looked like weekly to thrice weekly therapy with a trauma therapist who specializes in working with trafficking survivors, years of EMDR, connecting with my survivor siblings, and a whole lot of ugly crying. This is something I will live with for the rest of my life and I can also be safe and in the present and partake of all of life's wonder and beauty all around me. Every day is precious and not to be squandered. I hope that answers your great questions. Thanks for the support!

@@jaybenke I am so happy for you. I am happy you were able to access the resources that you needed. I don’t mean to make this comment about myself with all the “I, this, I, that”, but I just can’t find the words to express how grateful I am for you. You are a beautiful human being and I’m so glad you got to share your story!! I was recently in a jubilee video too so I totally get having had such a long conversation with most of it being edited out 😂, but nevertheless, the parts of your conversations that were included in the video were breathtaking. Many people will say “you are such a strong person”, which of course you are! But I think sometimes we as a society forget that it’s ok to not always be strong (although we might each have our own definition of strong!). It’s ok to cry your eyes out, it’s ok to admit that you need help. And it’s 100% ok to not want to deal with trauma completely alone. I get the feeling that you have a strong support system now and you’ve probably heard this before, but I still wanted to say it anyway, because I believe you can never hear enough just how valid your feelings are. You are an amazing person, and I think it’s safe to say that there are thousands of people out there who are all giving you the biggest virtual hugs! Thank you so much for sharing your story! ♥️
