I have had similar experience...I tried severally to prepare my message but my effort was fruitless...I tried prayering in tongues but was still feeling spiritually dry. I went to the church feeling so sober also like a lamb about to be slaughtered.😂 When it was time to mount the pulpit... God showed up. His power came down mightily.😮 Truely God honors sacrifice

Yes, it's very good to always go prepared, but the truth is God doesn't work based on your preparation. God works based on his own ability. Praying 50hr, 70hr, 100hr only build our relationship with the Godhead; but God works as He desires. We can't bribe him or play on his emotion to do things. He is God, and He has traveled to the future; so He already knows what He would do before the program started.

I think God feels neither disrespected nor intimidated when we sound commanding or demanding of Him, as He rather encourages us to do so as His Sons. Isaiah 45:11 - Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands "command ye me". I believe there are some types/phases of prayer that God allowed/permitted us to place a demand on or command Him without considering us being proud or arrogant as His matured and responsible Sons.
