I was just about to call it a day, and this happened! NJ wild brown trout 4/29/24

hit the river late morning. It was creek chub after creek chub. the sun was getting hot. Headed back up stream and hit the same hole I've been trying for about a week and was convinced there was no fish there. Made a few casts and hooked up with a nice fat 14 inch brown. I think thats my PB on the fly rod. I did get bigger one over winter, but that was on my spinning rod.
