A similar thing happened to me. I went to Flagstaff AZ to visit my sister, my mom drove me up there and i was gonna take a bus back to Phoenix . The day I was going home I got to the bus stop early, got a series of messages from the bus company I was using ; saying that they were using a different bus, and the bus just never ended up showing. During this time I was talking to this Guy that was also waiting for the same bus, getting the messages n everything. He eventually said he had to get to Phoenix that night no matter what, so he was just gonna drive and asked if I wanted a ride. He was getting the same messages and was just as annoyed about the bus situation so I knew he didn't set out to kidnap someone from the bus that day. I said sure, and I told my whole family what was going on, my sister and her husband came back and drove us to this guys apt then followed us as far out as they could (my sister and brother in law had work and collage the next day and couldn't take me home), and I had my location on and sending my mom updates. Dude ended up being really cool, he was going to a Music Festival ( Pre-covid), and he has a really cool legit clothing brand : Flyvibesstore on Instagram , 10/10 recommend . Dude was really cool and I got really lucky he offered me a ride and he wasn't a bad person. but also DON'T GET IN THE CAR WITH STRANGERS not everyone is genuine.

Once I was staying at a resort that happened to be hosting a car show/truck rally kind of thing that weekend. We went to dinner down the street. It was so busy bc of the car show that an uber was going to be crazy expensive, so we hitched a ride in the back of a pickup truck who was also going to our resort. The whole way, the dude in the front passenger seat was leaning back and quietly telling us how he would maim and kill us right then. Asking if we were scared, etc. We were ultimately fine but like, definitely never doing that again lol
