As a hairstylist for two decades now, I can say that all the "old" is becoming new again, like things always do. These foam rollers never went away from being produced and sold, because dang it they WORK. things in the beauty world will always grow and evolve, but the basics will never be out of rotation.

If you give it a spritz with hair spray AFTER rollers are out, and BEFORE you mess with your curls, they should stay curly a bit longer. My mom used to do pin curls, too, but its not easy to sleep with bobby pins, either. Regardless of whether you use rags, curlers, bobby pins, eyc. Be sure to wear a little night cap with elastic around the edge. You look cute with all of those curls!

Have you tried pin curls yet? My mother, born in 1920, curled her hair this way her entire life. You find a roller-sized sharpie and roll your wet hair on it, then carefully slide off, careful not to lose the curl, and bobby-pin the curl flat to your head. It seems it would be easier to sleep on. The curls should end up the same as they did here with the foam rollers.

Those rollers are what I used to keep my bangs looking nice while sleeping!! Wake up, take out the roller, and your bangs should still be banging lol!! (Only tried on front bangs, not sure how this would do for curtain bangs lol!!)

Let your hair dry more before you put it in the curlers. It can even be dry and still work. I sleep in these sometimes and they work great. Use more hair per curler for less curl. When I had to be at work 6am I slept in these!
