@@slate613 You only find them in battlefield and attack/defend missions, which are part of coyote mod. There was a separate mod to add more repair bays but it messed with loot crates spawning, including cantina mission crates.

@@slate613 There was a mod that added them in to every mission type as well as allowed you to apply the repair to all lance mates but I dont know if its been updated for the new dlcs. I found it a little odd that they put them in the base game and only used them for maybe 2 story missions

Man that clan 65 tonner punching like a warhammer. I got a charger early in my campaign, before I got any heavies. AI is good with laser boats and it stayed viable up until I had a crew of hero mechs.

Well if you're working for an IS faction then you'll call it a Wolverine; but if you're working for one or more of the Clans, you'll call it a Conjurer. That's lore accurate as to how far the Star League has drifted apart from the Inner Sphere core worlds.

So we got the following amounts of AMS ammo used: 1. Mission: 489 ams shots with AMS MK I (Video part 9) 2. Mission: 140 ams shots with AMS MK I (Video part 10) 3. Mission: 500 ams shots with AMS MK II (Video part 10) 4. Mission: 40 ams shots with AMS MK II (Video part 11) 5. Mission: 389 ams shots with AMS MK II (Video part 11) 6. Mission: 96 ams shots with AMS MK II (Video part 11) 7. Mission: 235 ams shots with AMS MK II (Video part 11) Note: I tried to keep the ammo restock of loot boxes in mind. Though sometimes the actual ammo used could be a little higher than noted. Which comes to a total of 1889. Which is 62.9% of a half ton of ammo. The most we used is still mission 3 with 500 shots fired. Far less than the 3000 that a half ton provides.

The capture part during an assassination mission seems new. I managed to take that once before I actually approached the target nav points, but the target mechs were already approaching me. So no clue if it really shows them on the map and save you the time to check all nav points, even the duds.

Beachhead mission synopsis.... find and destroy all radar and cannons. Start base capture. Go kill new cannons and all enemies. Finish base capture. Destroy the last 4 enemies when dropped. Mission done.

Fun MT enforcer build, but I don't know if it'll work in YAML. Drop the AC and replace it with 2xPPCs in the torso, then put 3x med lasers in the arm, then jack the rest into armor and heat sinks and go have fun. At this level, it's a great fire-support and sniper build.

Hey Baradul what settings you use in your YAML? I think I miss a lot of special equipment in post mission loot :/ only lasers, guns , ammo and parts of mechs but no targetting comps, lams etc.

A lot of the mechs and equipment are time locked by the year. In this play through Baradul is in 3053. That might be why you are seeing different stuff

@Baradul I've created a really nice Charger mech based off the Clan Jenner Pulse Boat - Basically All the Clan Medium Pulse Lasers + 2x Clan Large Pulse Lasers (one in each arm) - as much cooling as possible - but a nice combo for speed boost via myomer. Can reach 100kmphs whilst alpha-striking one mech after another and at 98 pts of heat run away with 100 kmphs. Very effective mech, excellent for raids and/or disabling most mechs in any class. High DPS. I'd send you the build specs, any idea how I can post them here via link or something? Cheers

Personally, I'm not a fan of it. They're too heavy and need many slots (depending on their tier) for what they offer, which isn't specialized. Compared to the Advanced targeting systems, or even the battle computers, they are worse, imo.

Those targeting computers are really common in the shops. I'd only get a class 1 one that weighs one ton, mostly for the predictive ballistic aiming.

the Shadowhawk IIC-1 is better imo, you can put 4 clan er medium lasers, and 4 atm 3's with a modular fcs and range battle computer to reduce the range of the atm's to 45 meters. much better build and more maneuverable get the stacked crates mod, it has a setting in mod options that will allow you to just move up to the crate and it will do it automatically, you should look into it.

@baradul why dont you salvage a phoenix hawk then once you do, repair it and shove it in cold storage, that would be a good point for you to fairly use the cobalt phoenix hawk, because youv spent the time and work to get yourself a phoenix hawk then just switched it for the freeby one. Thats what im doing in my similar playthrough.

What's the point in getting medium mechs if you are instakilling heavy and assault enemies so early in the game with just the shadow hawk? Just got into MW5 and Battletech in general in the past month or so and I've enjoyed the shit out of modding and learning the game this weeks, but man is the challenge none existing as soon as you get minimally competent at it. Hope the new game they are working on is a little more polished.

Some Tonnage Disparity affecting damage would help it feel more balanced.

@@PerkPeckerpunch There is a mod for it (Clan Invasion?), but it is notoriously incompatible with many of the YAML mods, and it's HUGE. A big load screen hog. I would love to see the YAML modders do a dovetailed version of that idea in their mod set with better optimization.

I think one of YAML's submods extends the timeline into the clan invasion, adding the clans as factions you can potentially fight along with some of their mechs and tech.

If your LBX is on group 1 then you push ctrl-1 and it would switch it. Same for the other numbered groups.

It's just stupid design at this point. Also, the whole "Seems we missed some arty" makes no sense, when it is literally on a hill outside the city's edge...How do you miss that?!

It sometimes takes a day or two for the mod changes to filter into the steam workshop. Until then you can get the updates from Nexus. There is a fantastic discord for the YAML mod team where you can see announcements of when they have updated their mods complete with changelogs.
