It’s like, waking up at, like, 5AM while it’s snowing. The snow is still fresh (no footprints), there’s an isolating but not suffocating fog, the sky is either a soft blue or that slightly light-polluted yellowish beige and most of the houses have no signs of life. When Jesus said those words of depart from me, for I never knew you, it was in the context of the Pharisie who thought because they said Lord, Lord and did things in the name of the Lord, but believed in their own righteousness, that they would be granted entrance to the Kingdom. That is why he told them to depart because they never believed in God's promise to begin with. There's no need to fear, about hearing those words because if you believe, what is eternal can never be lost!
