I simply want to share my story. The story of Karen D.
I was pregnant, alone & then I became unstoppable.
Let me show you how my "tragedy to some", became my blessing and the foundation of everything I do today.
Never allow your circumstances or environment to impact who you are and who you were born to be. You are not your circumstances, you are not your environment. You were born incredible, you were born worthy, you were born to win!!!!!!!!
I share how my mantra: "Word of Others Don't Define You, You Define You was born.
My friends, it's time to stand, own and believe in your own worth and achieve your "impossible".

You are a freakin ROCKSTAR!!! You just gave me a whole new outlook on what I felt was a messed up sad situation, but I now see how my thinking is keeping me sad. This is one of the best situations. Having a child without the father behaving as an adult, is not the end of the world. I’m 42yrs old, I’m healthy, I am an amazing women. I drive trucks and have a great career with an excellent income, a beautiful home, and a really nice car. Life is just beginning. Omg… I needed this so much. I got pregnant in an extremely abusive relationship. A relationship I allowed to define me every second of my life. When I got pregnant he demanded I stay home, leave my job, drop my friends, and put my “full focus into my child”… or he would leave me. He wanted to trap me in financial and social isolation. My family dropped me because I was “dumb enough to let an abuser get me pregnant”. My friends dropped me because “they’re not in that stage in their lives”, and “we’re just going in different directions right now”. So, I’m doing it all on my own now. Mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially… alone. It is so hard. I already feel like I’ve failed her in so many ways, and she’s not even here yet. But… before this relationship I was strong, successful, smart, hardworking, loved by people, and had opportunities all around me. I need to get back to me. To who I’ve always been. And, take this relationship as a lesson. Just put one foot in front of the other, be smart about what I do, be smart about who’s allowed in our lives, and do the damn thing. Thank you for this.

I still don’t have any of my old tribe, but she makes me feel like I don’t need anybody and I can do anything. I just started a new (very very small business), and I am hustling in every way I can every day. She gives me strength in every situation because I know her whole life is on me. I wouldn’t trade her for everything in this world. I never understood this before, but I do now… mom strength is a whole other level.

I am pregnant currently, about to lose my scholarship for my Phd, devastated because the dad doesn't fulfill his responsibilities. My all world seems to crumble and collapse, I'm dying and not even able to enjoy my pregnancy. I know I need to wake up shake my mind and moove forward but I can't find the strength anywhere. glad u made this video. 34, lost my job on the 5th, found out few weeks, car n cell will be shut off, out in the country, no support of the father of the child, i only have hs deploma, becoming disabled but not enough to get help., missing 2 items to switch back to my state id in order to get wic, medicaid etc. feel trapped alone. no place to go but my car. this video helped me alot. thank you

You're just as strong as me Renee, give yourself some credit. Being a mom in itself is one of the toughest jobs out there, don't allow anyone to tell you any different. You get to decide, you can always go back to school if you choose to (or whatever your goals are), you always get to decide. It's never too late, 2 years, 5 year, 25 years down the road.
