I have son. It didn't work between me and his mum. But not a single day will I ever fail to support him and be there for him as a father. Wanaume let's be there for our kids maze. Hata mkikosana na mama yake, atleast make sure the kid has a roof over his head, buy him clothes, and know what he eats. Also attend special events in his life. Once in a while mpeleke tour and show him how to be a man. The kind of damage caused when you are not there as a father is so huge.

It is painful to be rejected. Me my own mother lived calling me her small sister until I was 30 years. I grew up with my grandparents who loved me so much I used to call them mum and Dad, even my own birth certificate reads them. I have tried to forgive this woman gave birth to me but nimeshindwa. i share the same story, my dad left us when i was 6 and my sister 2, we went to kiambu , my mum became depressed developed ulcers and was taken to Kenyatta when i had taken my sister to play since i did not want her to see my mum suffer in the house in pain, no food no rent no family members no nothing. my dad knew, neighbors went to his place of work to look for him but he would hide, he never wanted anything to do with us. he remarried educated kids that were not his, the woman killed the two children they had with with my mum and chased him out when he became broke. he came back home when he heard that i had been sponsored by japan to attend a global environmental symposium in 2007.we struggled in high school when i attended the best provincial school in nyeri. he never paid even a dime for my sister for her high school fees. when i was in campus he used to beat my mum mercilessly asking for money to drink. i felt a lot of pain for the suffering of my mother, eventually my mum had to leave him. the amazing thing, my aunts blame my mum for the suffering that my dad is going through. kwani my mum has no right to live a peaceful life without this man. please help before i harm them when they dare to speak ill of my mum. .

To be abandoned by a father is very painful but it sounds like a blessing in disguise cos God takes over immediately. I have never meant my father at 27😢😢 at 10 a teacher asked out tribe and I responded, kikuyu because I speak kikuyu, but one boy shouted "how do you know, you don't have a father, maybe he is not kikuyu" that broke my heart, till today the pain it's so fresh.
