I want you to keep this in mind that, when i say that you're the only let's player that i see it's not because of charm, or jokes or whatever, it's because you explain what's going on both in game, and with summaries. Those are almost exclusively to you, and while i am familiar with DD2, i am not familiar with everything you play, yet those explanations make it 100% worth it to watch every one of your videos. I love how this game alwasy puts emphasis on being rough to you. At first you fall flat a couple of times, then you get used to the level of misery you get all the time. But then the lairs and the mountain are just orders of magnitude worse than even that and the game always finds a way to make it even worse. It is brilliant

I love seeing Connor getting accustomed to the single worst system in this game, because the character connection issue is big, the biggest issue this game has is the unfair, entirely luck based (especially becuase a run can just die if a character starts for no reason getting pissy), and worst of all UNFUN affinity system. The fact that you cannot play around it as a player only sometimes kind of react in a pitiful still luck based way (like if I could play around which characters dislike others or if every character had a set personality that was told beforehand to play around it would already be so much better), just makes the game unfun as it’s not skill that wins you runs, it’s skill plus having to get lucky in something you can in no way control. Especially because it’s a rouge like that kills this game, so sad to see a simply unnecessary system botch in my opinion what could’ve been a great game and amazing experience. The art and ost and writing goated though. Edit: Connor is also right, the map system also sucks, it has the same luck issue, lots of times the game gives you zero winning paths and you just lose. I don’t have to tell you how infinitely shit and unfun this is as a player, this problem and the affinity system being dogshit have been here since early access (I played early access) and the devs have refused to fix it. Also have you noticed? All the runs he makes it somewhat far he NEEDS to ALWAYS JUST GET LUCKY WITH RELATIONSHIPS LIKE? Dogshit game design

I personally am one to dislike DD2's choice of artstyle not to say it doesn't look great-it's fucking amazing. Love the animals and looks and all-the issue is that because of it, nobody can mod the game with different skins or characters as easily as they could DD1. There is like-one or two I found, but they are very basic looking DD1 ones that just clash with the advanced looking other ones. Maybe it's a silly complaint to say an artstyle looks too good because of the modding scene-but I grew to love said modding scene more than just the base game so *shrug*
