Oh you are really amazing. The shapes you give to the trees are fascinating. Greetings from Turkey

Alex: We as artists are all prostitutes for our art. Not my words but those of Michelangelo. I was an art teacher for over 31 years. Loved it and saw many young people reach unbelievable skill and heights. There's something deep in our souls that spurs us onward and upward. In order to live to create; we must work to live. I've followed you for those 20 years. Searching and following a hero is the spur. Keep it sharp. I'm still seeking and following Gringling Gibbons, Bernini and Michelangelo. Keeping humble is a secret to awareness and growth. See for yourself the greatness that can be. Get yourself to Europe and be wondered in the beginning of greatness. For those who see and find wonderment, greatness is certain as my most beloved friend, mentor and artist instilled in me over 60 years ago and now beginning to see at nearly 80.

Hi Alec! I have been practicing my art for 3 years now...I haven't sold anything, I gave away! Why? I developed this passion out of a thirst for learning and constantly taking on challenges for myself! It allowed me to acquire more knowledge and soon, maybe, I plan to sell my creations. On the other hand, I have only made two commissions and it stressed me out so much that I don't know if I would do it again! But, if I do what I love and then I put myself in sales mode, then people will buy what I offer from a certain part of my soul!

High Alec, I know your talking about art, but just about all of your carvings are absolutely exquisite 👌, I am in ore at the quality of your work. Yes you have I guess done many many that a lot of us probably have not seen. I think one of my absolute favourites is ( I think is true beauty and art is ) the Girls face in the silver Birch log. Exquisite. Your workshop is just an Aladins cave of carving chisels and I feel confident in being bold and saying that you have there that many of us would love ❤️ to have. Keep it up mate 👍. Cheers Les.

Great video 👍 Sadly people that sell their art can’t charge what the art is really worth . People see art and say “ Wow I would love one of those “ …..then you mention price and they disappear ! They would rather go and purchase machined art for a % of the cost of real art .

I can relate..... I enjoy making Shaker Style Oval Boxes for pleasure. The problem is, I gave a bunch away to family and friends but still have many of them sitting on a table. Now, I cannot make any more because they just get added to an already too large pile.
