Oh, and also - Westone Audio AM Pro IEMs are excellent and allow ambient noise into your ears. Great for acoustic shows so you can hear the audience. Not that pricy ($399 US). Just a thought.

Hi Aaron, how do you get on with returns? Many companies will not take them back in the U.K. because they’ve been i your ears? Do you use these just straight out of the headphone socket from your pedal/mixer ?

Excellent Video Aaron. I've never tried the 535's, I've got the 215's which are very good for the price. My go to set for live gigs are the Sennheiser IE PRO 500's which are at a similar price point to the 535's I think. They have a single driver which is tuned to perfection for me. Maybe Sennheiser would be kind enough to send you a pair for a comparison video. ;)

Good comparison! I’ve used the Shure 215’s in a band situation (loud enough for drums) and they worked fine. Later tried a set of KZ’s with just music (not loud) and missed the bass issues at higher volume. I’d love to see an affordable stereo IEM wireless system review. There’s lots of cheap stuff on amazon and expensive stuff in the music store and it’s hard to tell if any of it is worth the trouble and money.

Wireless is very hit and miss depending on where you are using it. I try to avoid it as much as possible these days.

Glad to see you once again addressing a gear topic. As for your test, it might have been interesting to also sing and monitor how that, too, feels, since that involves a different range of frequencies, plus the quality of one’s vocal performance depends on clarity without boominess, but also needs a certain degree of bass punch and chest frequencies in order to feel right and be inspiring. Getting a guitar to sound pleasant seems like an easier task than getting the vocals right.

Thanks Scott. I agree but I have been happy with the 535’s for several months. The 845’s had to be a huge improvement for me to ‘upgrade’ and they were not so I bought a second pair of 535’s.

They plug into the headphone jack and no, I have a guitar cable and headphone cable in one so when I unplug the guitar the IEM’s are also unplugged.
