All great points, Adam. I'm a huge proponent of the home isolation method. You can block out time and tell everybody that you're unavailable. Turn your phone off, don't check email, etc. Music production while traveling is a romantic notion but it has never worked for me personally. I have found through many failures in that respect (and lugging tons of equipment on international flights) that just bringing a paper notebook and writing down ideas that you might come up with while you're traveling is actually brilliant. Many favorite songs that I've written have come from those non-equipment situations. Then it's like a rubber band, by the end of the trip I'm dying to get back into the studio and rip out the track. You need to fill the cup! Thanks for the video, you always have great insights! 👍

I'm building an off-grid recording studio just for this purpose, I'm so glad to read that it is more common of a feeling with artists than I had ever expected and what to focus on offering rather than a vacation where you could possibly make some music.

You did it again, upload a video that perfectly fits exactly what, I'm thinking, this is why most of My videos are recorded outside or in a community garden shed or green house. I live in a small apartment block, surrounded on all sides by naighbors and I simply don't like making videos there and I don't like making music there. I take My laptop to the community garden and make music in the shed or greenhouse.
