I've watched like 6 episodes so far, and honestly, I was surprised by how the show made me care about their romance. Most shonen anime romance is bs with no real good reason why we should root for a couple (because come on, they're not a shojo romance. It's action, so I get it), but how attraction Fuuko has with Andy is actually relevant to the plot and how they have their goofy and cute moments made me like those two so much. I've been staying for their wholesome bizarre romantic adventure and also enjoying the interesting world setting

The single most busted and unique power system i have seen in a very long time. No joke. I thought about dropping this ten chapters in . But here we are 190 chapters later and it continues to blow me away. These Uma aint no joke.

The author has said that the powers aren't based in logic. The whole point of negation powers is that rules shouldn't bind you! Powers evolve as negators reinterpret their understanding of their respective rule, anything goes, which is what makes it so imaginative. And, yes! The author stated in recent interview that he's just hoping to have fun with the series. He's a big fan of Street Fighter, certain moves and characters were inspired by the series! Check out the manga!!! I believe it gets better and better! ;)

From the main poster (when it appeared), i got a vibe, that i couldn't describe. It was somehow similar to one of my favorite anime Soul Eater (in terms of character design), then i saw it's made by David Production which also made Fire Force (Soul Eater prequel), and it was clear. I added it to my list to watch, and once it got out, i never stopped watching it. It has so many similarities to Soul Eater like good music, interesting overarching plotline, presence of God, out of place nudity (i find it funny), and it also feels that is not made for a 12 year old. I know Undead Unluck will be one of the best anime of all time, since the manga is already proved it by winning numerous prizes. Cannot wait for Season 2.

Just finished S1 and can say that this anime has one of the most unique power systems I've ever seen. Rather than everyone just shooting laser beams at each other, sword clashing, or spamming magic, it's extremely creative with its basis around "negating" something. Definitely looking forward to future seasons.

A friend of mine recommended the series to me when the most recent chapter was chapter 18 and I have been with the series ever since. Everyone I know who has actually given the series a chance has had your reaction. And when I tell you that the manga is good, it is *good*. You will laugh. You will cry. You will get goosebumps. You will cheer with joy. You will love it.

Alright, you convinced me. I’m gonna start this show today! I saw it on Hulu, but wasn’t sure, but now I’m excited!

Honestly, the first 2 episodes really did a disservice to the series. I'm reluctant to recommend the series to anyone despite being fully caught up with the manga and a lover of the series because the first 2 episodes/first few chapters are just so... Gratuitously degenerate in what Andy does before the series drops that kind of stuff to focus on the actually interesting writing. I feel like I gotta justify the beginning as "oh, this isn't really what the series is like" to anyone I recommend it to before they even watch it.

As someone who's caught upwith undead unluck manga and never watched the anime, let me tell you...this shits ass. Trope after trope and the only unique thing it can do is completely change the story after about 50 chapters, which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't so blatatenly obvious the author didn't intend to write the story that way in the beginning. Re-reading undead unluck will show you just how little the author thought ahead in this story.
