Another hero which makes supporting the Veteran's Foundation so important. Myself and members of my family have done for a long time and will continue to do so. Thank you for your service Brian Wood. Without you and people like you, we would be in a worse place. #notallheroeswearcapes

Woody has always been a true gent, to even accuse this man of wrong doing on the battle field was a complete travesty. This man welcomed me when I joined 1 PWRR. The man is one of the nicest men you will ever have the privilege to meet.

People say the WW2 generation was the last great generation but these men who served for our country is definitely the last great generation you won’t ever see my generation running into war these men are the greatest men of our time

Partially agree with your sentiment here mate, but as a 17 year old lad who wants to join up next year in the Royal Marines, there are definitely still great people of this generation, the media just wants to peddle fear mongering and a strange hate between generations, there is a large amount of truth that the new generation is far weaker softer and more easily offended, I see it all the time, but some of us are still out there.

And when they come home there even more damaged then when they left, they relive over and over what they went through, many take there life to avoid the daily pain of what they saw and dealt with on a day to day basis. I see veterans living out on the streets, because they can’t get the help the desperately need. My dad was a veteran of WWII and when he got Parkinson’s disease my mother put him in a nursing home where he was abused everyday for 3 years. I thought I was living in the greatest country in the world, but apparently not when this happens or where our veterans are found living on the streets or when places turn a blind eye in the care of when they come home. But, that’s just my opinion.

I read a report from Syria a few months ago that recons that only a very very few of the ISIS. Fighters or Taliban ever suffer from PTSD ……interesting comparison with all non Muslim countries armies …..it seems the more you talk about atrocities and killing prior to doing it the less you suffer from it …..respect for this lad too …

If your religion grants you permission to kill, and states it will reward you for eternity, that by-passes at a stroke a wide range of inhibitions. Which is why this religion is so dangerous. /
