IT HAPPENED! SOMEONE FINALLY LEAKED THE METHOD: (now posted on the Burnt Oomlie wiki page) “…by making use of the chilling effect which provides a temporary skill drain. 1. Go to the entrance of God Wars Dungeon or the Ice Path north of it. 2. Prior to entering the chilly stat-draining area, drain Cooking to at least 50, or slightly above. 3. Light a fire. 4. Reduce Hitpoints to 1 (for example, by use of a dwarven rock cake or locator orb) and flick Rapid Heal to reset the regeneration timer. 5. Cook a full inventory of wrapped oomlie to give the Cooking skill some time to drain below 44. 6. The Cooking level continues to drop below 44 while cooking continues. All successive cooking attempts below 44 Cooking give some nonzero chance of burning. This method relies on the player being at 1 hitpoint for the duration of the cooking process, as the cold will not cause damage with only 1 hitpoint remaining. Should hitpoint regeneration occur, damage will be taken, and the action will be interrupted.” I believe Hannah’s recently publicized obsession with the burnt oomlie is what spurred this leak, since nobody was really talking about it that much beforehand.

"Trace the bird to its last known ancestor." If you search for images you find something that looks like a cockatrice, these do lower your stats but only combat according to the wiki. It might also refer to dragons. In osrs dragons were created by the Dragonkin. During the Dragonkin Conflicts Zorgoth and other unnamed Dragonkin worked on creating dragons with increased aggression. The first of these experiments took place underneath Crandor, where they successfully created a green dragon with heightened aggression: Elvarg. If you fight Elvarg on hard mode in NMZ without dragonfire protection she will lower your stats significantly every hit according to the wiki. "Under the waterfall will be the treasure" The most famous waterfall in osrs has to be the Baxtorian Falls, underneath it lies The Ancient Cavern which is created by the Dragonkin and is full of dragons. Perhaps another clue pointing towards Elvarg?

My musings Last ancestor-terrorbirds waterfall-baxtorian A few things come to mind. Firstly glacials tomb. To enter you need the pebble found in a gnome area which are associated with terrorbirds. The tomb has some interesting effects like not being able to bring weapons or armours. Also the wiki says opening the coffin within is a uninterruptible action( you cannot eat or teleport but can be attacked)Maybe you could search the coffin then start cooking? The disease would proc but the cooking would be stalled?

Maybe im crazy but i might found a solution... You need 99 cooking + cooking cape. Drain cooking low enough(path to DT as mentioned in start of video) to maybe like 40-45, run to the zogre and get disease then tp to catherby and run to cookingrange as you did in video, when you stand there your cooking should be at 50 as it is the requirement of cooking the wraper. When the disease hit, then you must do following on same tick, cook the wrap and remove the cooking cape. Based on math this should be 50 current cooking-10 cooking from disease -1 from cooking skill cape = 39. However it is higher ods to burn em by cooking em at campfire (100% at L43 fire vs 100% at L40 range). So the optimal routing should be Path to DT(drain)->Zorgre for disease -> light fire -> cook when disease hits+ remove skillcape for best ods (ods 4.34% for disease followed up with 6,64% for burning at best ods means 0.288% chance to get one (1/346.3)

Not a full theory, but if you use a boost to get plus 1 cooking while at 49, then time the tick so the disease lowers at the same time as the boost wears off you can lose an extra level and get down to 39.

With runelite you can use menu entry swapper or right click the invent tab and change what you're clicking so any item can be a 1 tick stall. I use it for tp with items mainly like quest Cape is a 1 click tp now

When I first seen this I thought about using the disease mixed with the cold at GWD to cook on a specific tick to try to burn it, would have to use an account that's between 45 - 50 cooking and use a cooking boost and get it to drop below as your cooking

For anybody watching in 2023 the wiki has the solution now: Go to the entrance of God Wars Dungeon or the Ice Path north of it. Drain Cooking to 50, or slightly above. Reduce Hitpoints to 1 (for example, by use of a dwarven rock cake or locator orb). Light a fire. Logs coloured with gnomish firelighters (eg. green logs) are preferable, due to these logs always lighting on the first attempt. Flick Rapid Heal to reset the regeneration timer. Cook a full inventory of wrapped oomlies to give the Cooking skill some time to drain below 44. The Cooking level continues to drop below 44 while cooking continues. All successive cooking attempts below 44 Cooking give some nonzero chance of burning.

Since cooking takes 4 ticks, you are guaranteed to successfully cook the first 18 wraps. After one minute you regenerate one hitpoint and the next cold tick will interrupt the cooking. This gives you at most 40 ticks of cooking with a burn chance, or at most 10 wraps per attempt. In order to carry 27 wraps and also light a fire, drop your logs on the ground, bank, and finally use the "light" option on the logs. As a fire can start burning out after one minute, light the fire as late as possible. Coloured logs are helpful in this regard, as they can be reliably lit on the first attempt even at level 1 Firemaking.

Maybe try cooking gauntlets with too low of a cooking level to succeed at cooking? Or with the correct level or in combination with buffs/debuffs? Unequipping it on a certain tick, etc? Kinda like how in gen 1 Pokemon, focus energy lowers crit chance despite that it's supposed to increase crit chances.
