Small correction: That specific Bat Toy you mentioned. Was NOT from the Morbius figure. It was from the Spiderman vampire Bat figure. Because that character had the red cape and black bat with the tail. I owned the figure back in the day, I recognized it immediately. The rest of the video was spot on, and well done.

One of my favorite movies of all time. Just a few more notes: 1. Frost did not achieve full power as La Magra because Blade was freed from the chamber before the lightning strike. The computer simulation clearly shows the Daywalker as a key to the transformation - not just his blood, but also the chamber he is in. This is why he wasn't completely immortal. I always thought Mercury killing the one pureblood had something to do with it, too, but this video proves they had a spare. 2. Blade was just playing with Quinn the whole time, as shown by how effortlessly he takes Quinn's head at the climax of the movie. It seems they had a cat-and-mouse thing going, that Blade would nearly kill Quinn in order to get information out of him. After the opening fight scene, Blade says "I'm getting a little tired of chopping you up. I thought I'd try fire, for a change" indicating he's been cutting Quinn up repeatedly. We realize later that Blade was most likely at the rave looking for Frost. Blade lights Quinn on fire, then checks on the human to see if he was bit. I'm guessing Blade was planning to return to Quinn once he was weakened from the fire, but his interrogation of Quinn was interrupted by the arrival of police and firefighters.

1998's Blade is still underappreciated and still not well known and understood enough that Blade saved Marvel Comics who were near bankrupcy in the late 90's, became a box office hit as R RATED. became popular with BLACK LEAD. . People should be praising THIS FILM instead of Black Panther.

People do praise Blade when talking about Marvel movies in general or when breaking down the history of the MCU (along with X-Men 1 and Spider-Man 1) the reason Black Panther got so much praise was because at the time there wasn't an MCU movie that had a black character as the main starring character (War Machine main supporting character in Iron Man 2 same thing with Falcon in Captain America 2). Black Panther came out at the right time and became a billion dollar box office success and paved the way for more hollywood movies to star more black actors in leading roles (whether good or bad films) instead of supporting roles like Star Wars failed to do with Finn in the Sequel Trilogy for example. Blade was a success and gained a cult following Black Panther was a success and led to a new era of hollywood films that the higher ups in hollywood would have probably passed on like the Spider-Verse films; the Blade reboot

Honestly, I think the prophecy of La Magra told Frost what he needed to do to create a Daywalker. I think Frost really did vampirize a pregnant woman with the intent to do just that. He may or may not have had failed attempts in the past. The more I think about it, the more plausible it seems to me that the prophecy isn't really a prophecy, but more an instruction manual on gaining the power of and thereby becoming an avatar of La Magra rather than actually resurrecting La Magra. Frost's personality didn't really change at all after the ritual. It certainly did not seem to me like he was instilled with the presence of another more powerful entity. He was still himself, just... better.

So this 0.25x speed video has definitely increased my love for Blade. I haven't watched Blade in a while now but when he cut the roots off that plant, I thought it was him killing it cos he didn't need it to form that serum that Whistler gave him any more. IIRC, Whistler made that serum from that plant so by cutting the roots off it, he was expecting to either die fighting Frost that night or probably face whatever consequences he would have to without it i.e. falling towards going full blood drinking vampire. One way or the other, he just didn't care any more after losing Whistler.

There's also a scene where Frost gives away the ending earlier in the film. He's talking with his henchmen about blade. They are all ranting about him and in the middle of the rants Frost says something along the lines of "yeah and then he catches it behind his back and kicks it" something like that, I can't remember verbatim, but Frost basically acts out the scene where blade hits him with the last injection.

Yes the was the 5 sticking out of him when he landed and 1 in the head later making 6 but blade hit him with 1 before that Frost broke off which is why there is a extra hole in his stomach. Thus making the whole scene play out like this... Blade gets the injections unstuck using his sword causing them to start falling. Blade is then able the get underneath them and catches the injections behind his back with frost noticing. Moments later blade throws an injection at frost and It hits him in the stomach. (+1 in the stomach) Frost hits it trying to knock it off him and it breaks but not before the liquid is injected Frost jumps at blade to close the distance but blade throws 5 more hitting frost with all 5. 4 to the chest 1 in the leg Moments after frost lands the many injections start taking effect but blade kicks 1 more into frost's forehead killing him by causing him to blow up moments after the last injection hits. All together that's... +1 to the stomach (frost breaks it) +4 to the chest/stomach +1 to the leg +1 to the head ------------------------ 7 in total

One thing you probably missed out is during the train scene after Karen Jenson fixes Blade's dislocated shoulder, he still uses his left hand ONLY to administer the serum. You could say that he does so because his right hand may still hurt but we know that he has a high pain tolerance. I think its because in the usual scenario,he will be alone and will need to take care of himself without being able to use the dislocated shoulder. Such a nice little detail.

Blade is one of my all-time favorite movies! I've noticed a lot of interesting details throughout. In the bloodbath club scene, there's a moment where Quinn is having some explicit fun with two girls at once. Just before the fight begins, Blade uses his sword to draw a 'do not cross' line on the floor, and he only attacks when an enemy steps over it. I love the way Blade smirks right before he throws his glaive for the first time in the round room of the bloodbath club. There's also a great moment when Blade pins Quinn to the wall with his first stake; he makes a little 'yeah' gesture with his hand, showing that he's had several run-ins with Quinn and is enjoying finally catching him. Another detail I noticed is that Quinn is still twitching while being extinguished by the police, hinting that he might still be alive. As for a tiny movie mistake: Blade is often shown wearing his sword on his back while driving his car, but that's not really possible. The sword is about 34 inches long, so it would be too long to sit properly with it strapped to his back.

5:50 - Blade injected (Frost) La Magra with SEVEN doses of EDTA, FIVE in the body, one in his right leg, and one to the head. Frost knocked out one of the body doses prior to the four he took when he was jumping in the air. You can see the scar of the one he knocked out on his lower left torso.

In infinity war, during the battle when thor enters and after the great attack of thunder storm, the thunder storm goes to the thors hand. After that very shot we can see the hand shields of captain America were blue in color. Was it charged like panthers suit!? Or reflection!!

i watched this w/ my mom in theaters when I was 9..it became one ofthe best Vamp. movies ever! It put MARVEL on the map film wise. What a time for entertainment 80s-90s an early 2000s

This is still a top 10 comic book movie for me. Unique tone and aesthetic, phenomenal stunt work, and a pretty good story and arc 🤘🏼

I have often said as well that blade is the first Marvel movie and that helps 2 proof that comics based movies, when done right can be a big hit on the movie screen. In the movie is made within the last 20 years helped to prove this
