Rainbow Rocks is definitely the best of the movies. I look forward to your video on it. While I'm personally in the group that Lauren Faust knew would end up watching and she accommodated for, I'm really glad my daughter was the target audience before the show ended. Our whole family really enjoyed both FiM and EG.

Oh boy this reminds me of why I was never able to watch the rest of the movies. I only know cuz I’ve seen reactions. Cuz….I watched the first movie I think? The one with demon sunset. It was fine till that scene. I was the young female child target audience for MLP G4. My parents liked it, I had a MLP theme bday. My dad hated it (religious, not the one most think). I hid under a desk cuz he got angry, with it playing in the bg. Trauma. (He is not abusive, I was just a very closed off child from certain things that are normal for everyone to watch from a young age.)

My main problem with EQG was the human designs, primarily the fact they used the coat colors of the ponies for the skin color of their human variants. It always felt insanely weird to me as a kid. Were they worried kids wouldn't be able to recognize the characters as dolls? They still have their original hair color and a cutiemark slapped on their outfit so I don't think so. Slap a pony on the box too. In concept art, Kora Kosicka even drew Twilight with dark skin. There are now officially licensed Bishoujo statues of the characters, totally recognizable, with human skin tones too Besides that, I really enjoyed the video. The anti-copyright editing is hilarious and your OC is very pleasing to look at

I believe it's due to the fact that no ponies nor humans in the eqg world has no canon ethnicities and kids can project themselves onto these characters, similar to Lego Ninjago. It did feel weird to me as a kid too, but I see why they wouldn't give them official skin colors. If you headcanon twilight as a mexican and feel represented that's ok, or if you headcanon her as white, black, or korean that's also okay too!

Actually it is funny to see how Equestria Girls, as a spin-off of FiM, became much bigger as anticipated. I guess, Equestria Girls The movie, supposedly was a one time project. But with 4 movies, 5 specials, 3 episode stories (Tales of Canterlot High) it grew quite big. Also with toys and merchandise, it added much to the total MLP G4 popularity. Personally I became fan of FiM because of EQG. To understand the whole concept of EQG better, I was forced to watch FiM as well. Now I understand the bigger picture and the total enjoyment of MLP G4. To me MLP G4 is a total package (FiM and EQG) of a global phenomenon who entertained a lot of people, both children and adults.

I've spent most of my life not really liking these movies, but recently I've managed to grow somewhat of an appreciation towards them, especially the third one, which is my personal favourite of the bunch. I think we cannot deny the fact that hese movies are 100% saved and carried by their soundtracks. Even in this first one all the songs at least slap, and that's mostly why I can't deny the value these movies have to me, aside from the obvious nostalgia factor too. It's really a pity how hard this lovie eeally tried to pander a love interest to Twilight, because it seriously eats up my ability to enjoy these movies. I just don't see the logic behind Twilight having a love interest beside the fact that she's the protagonist and the creators wanted a teen drama. Nowadays I can't physically even watch the scenes Flash is in, and just embrace my headcanon of asexual/arospec Twilight.

I was most definitely out of the target audience when any of this stuff came out (my first experience with MLP was watching Canterlot Wedding at my friend's place who himself was watching it because he had kids that liked it and he found it pretty good). I eventually watched Equestria Girls because I saw it on Netflix but I probably wasn't paying enough attention to it because I didn't remember it by the time I randomly found Lullaby for a Princess on KZbin... and after watching that video a few times I had to see the story behind that and I finally got into the series. I really did find Equestria Girls really good when I watched it, the first one is mediocre, although if you're wondering why Sunset broke up the main character's friendship, it's because they were the only group of friends that went beyond the cliques that somehow helped Sunset "rule the school" or something like that... Fluttershy even mentions that everyone in the school sticks to their own kind (or whatever she said) but the main characters were all very different and good friends, so for Sunset's divide and conquer strategy to work, she had to break them apart. Anyway, I love Sunset Shimmer, but do with there was more Equestria in later Equestria Girls content. I actually had a great idea for a story with a slight change to the ending of Season 8 that would cross over to Equestria Girls (although the part of the Fandom that hated Equestria Girls wouldn't exactly like this, so I get why they didn't do it), but essentially Cozy Glow actually succeeds in draining all the magic of Equestria... but is either stopped by the ponies without magic or is pulled along with the magic.... then Twilight goes home and everything is dark until Twilight sees the book connected to Sunset's is glowing and vibrating... basically the magic ended up in that world and is causing all kinds of problems, and now they have to find a way to send it back. I also think Sunset Shimmer should have been at Twilight's Coronation at the end of the series.

I will say Equestria Girls is good but not perfect. When I first watched this in 2021 and I joined the fandom after Friendship is Magic ended. I thought it was clever seeing Twilight as a human and seeing the counterparts of her friends. When I look at it, I see the Pony Universe as the main universe and the human world as a parallel universe. I will say that this is a great time to bring this up because this year is the 10th anniversary of the first Equestria Girls film.

I was a VERY BIG fan of My Little Pony, especially Equestria Girls. I remember when once I wanted those Equestria girls figurine, but they weren't avaliable in my country,and somehow God gave me a chance, because my dad had to go to the U.S for work. He promised me to get them, and behold, it came. I instantly fell in love with them and played with them everyday. Today , there are on a cabinet on the wall . As much as MLP makes zero sense, it has a big place in my heart . Oh, and don't forget the songs. They are AWESOME and still a bop to this day.

I would love to see a video from you about the other Equestria Girls movies. I love Equestria Girls and Sunset Shimmer is my favourite pony now. "This strange new world" is a good song in my opinion. It has a good melody, good lyrics and it's kinda relatable. We're not ponies from another world and need to learn about this new world, but our world and the people around us are a strange world too, exepcially if you're not like the others. Have you ever seen the eqg specials? I love them so much, some of them didn't really land but my overall experience with them was very good and I think they're as good as the first movie. Not as good as Rainbow rocks, but still, absolutely worth watching. The funny thing is that I discovered them relatively recently and genuinely enjoyed them, without much nostalgia getting in the way Also my first viewing of this movie happened on TV and I for real thought that this was just a two part episode 😭. Funnily enough, Equestria Girls first movie is what got me into mlp. See, I used to have a friend at work who I got along with well who HATED MLP, and I don't just mean FiM or the Brony fandom, he hated ANYTHING to do with mlp with a passion. About a year after meeting, he started telling me about his hatred for it. Now, I had NO experience with mlp at the time, so I just went along with it. The more months of him expressing his mlp hate, telling me how he saw mlp as "everything wrong with the world", however, the more I started inwardly questioning just how valid his claims against mlp could be. Equestria Girls had just come out on DVD, so I decided to buy it to give myself the barest experience I could. Afterwards, I found myself curious enough to look into a few fic readings and then the show itself. Now I'm heavily in the fandom, have all the first 1-8 seasons, movies and DVD specials and honestly am a much better person because of mlp. As for that friend? The moment he found out I liked mlp instead of being pulled into his bubble of hatred, he ended our friendship without even telling me, saying I was now a hollow shell of my former self. The most hilarious part? I likely never would’ve known about mlp if he hadn't started hating on it to me to begin with. He wanted to make me hate mlp as much as he did, but ended up causing the reverse effect. Reality hit him with the Uno Reverse Card

I really like all the main Equestria Girls movies including the first one that came out back in 2013, and it's also hard to believe that the OG Equestria Girls movie is now ten years old already too since we're now in 2023.

Tbh I think Sunsset had some artifacts that allowed her to spy on Equestria 🤔 and that's how she maneged to know so much about Twilight and her crown? I mean she did have that book that allowed her to write to Celestia. If I was to come up with bit of an arc for her : she probebly entered the mirror portal duuring some period of powerfull emotional rampage so she didn't rlly realize the conseauences of entering it. After some time spend there she started to regrett that but looked into that artifcat that allowed her to see into Equestria and found out she has been replaced by Twilight. Feling betreyed and jealous she stayed in the human world. Everytime she found out new stuff about Twilight she became more jealous, she finally decided to take her revenge by stealing Twilight's crown to get magic and rule the human world ( since she knew in human world no one would be able to stand up to her magic) . Oh and btw I find it weird that Sunset would be a young adult when Twilight started her study as a little kid so I atcually think she was max 1 or 2 years older then Twilight. And I know this is putting too much sense into this show targetted twords kids but Wow Imagine non-adult trying to survive in unfamilliar world I'm really sad they haven't explore Sunstet's past more and how shd maneged to adapt to the human realm ...unless it was explained I haven't watched that Equestria girls mini show 🤔

These old mlpg4 seasons/movies give me a BIG hit of nostalgia. Especially because I used to watch them even without knowing english (I'm Brazilian). So the dialogue feels very melodic, like I've memorized HOW they were saying things rather than what they were saying.

I'm aware that equestria girls may not be such a good product or doesn't make soo much sense, I understand the people who hate it and don't consider it canon (even if there's soo much evidence to prove it) But I liked equestria girls, although not more than fim since fim surpasses equestria girls in many aspects such as the story, better character development, logic, and many more things, i honestly enjoyed it and I don't regret it, equestria girls was the one that introduced me to the fandom back in 2013, and i have a lot of nostalgia with equestria girls, However, I am not a fanboy who defends this product with sword and shield, since I know it has soo many flaws, but at the end of the the day i really like it and enjoy it, and that's all that should be matter to me, but it's a shame that the fandom hates equestria girls too much.
