This is also shown again when he’s creating the coordinates for NASA using the dust. In the original scene, he stops, looks at the window and Murph and then closes the window. When he’s inside the tesseract, the version he sees, Cooper runs into the room and closes the window instantly.

another potential detail: in the scene where they drive home from the baseball game through the dust storm, listen to the sound of the dust slapping against the metal of their truck; then go to the scene where Cooper is going into the black hole - the sound design is extremely similar, and I'm pretty sure that's on purpose. another way to show how Cooper was made for this mission.

Not that he was made for it but it was a synchronicity or like a preview a glimpse of what was to happen in the future or should I say it had already happened as we learn past present and future are connected and happen simultaneously it's all about perspective when you described those scenes I imagined a higher perspective of awareness just observing those two similar moments in time at the same time like an omniscient consciousness and also like the audience that watch this movie ... This movie didn't just nail the realistic black hole but also the concept of time or should I say illusion of what we think time is vs what it really is it 👁️♾️

This film was so underrated by many because they think it's "just" a sci-fi film when it's really about the love of a father and how he gives up everything to try and save his children. He could have stayed and experienced his children growing up knowing their future is doomed or lose all that love to try and give them a future. Amazing film, in my top 5 of all time and the greatest soundtrack bar none (all hail Hans Zimmer).

5:42 small nitpick but the reason why there is high heating and plasma during entry of an atmosphere is not due to friction it is air compression. As they are going around mach 20 hitting the air at this speed causes the air particles to get ionized and compressed forming a layer of hot hot plasma on the side that is interacting with the atmosphere.

5:17 Let's say there are 3 cooper each from different universes, the one we see the entire time be Cooper A . Now if cooper sending space messages doesn't go to his past self but another cooper from different universe, by that logic, Cooper A got the NASA coordinates from Cooper 0 then Cooper A went to space and sent the NASA coordinates to Cooper B who later went to space and sent the coordinates to Cooper C and it goes on. So the higher beings made the Tesseract in such a way that when cooper provides the space data and it shuts down so it can be activated into another cooper's universe . Overall each Cooper saves humanity of other universe . HOLY FUKKK

1:13 angular velocity should remain constant without breaking the laws of conservation of momentum. This is because assuming no external forces momentum is conserved but the ejected mass also contains momentum, so the momentum of the space station decreases while the momentum of the system is constant. This is like if your spinning with some masses and drop the masses, you wont speed up as the masses carry momentum.
@MrBrain4
@MrBrain4 27 күн бұрын
Correct. Also, if you just look at the spinning at normal speed, you can clearly see that the actual rotation is far less that what TARS reported. 67 or 68 RPM would be more than one rotation per second, and the vehicle is spinning at nowhere close to that rate.
@EverythingEqualszero
@EverythingEqualszero 25 күн бұрын
Yeah, I stopped right at about 1:20 to "fix" this error with a comment, but ya beat me to it. Thx buddy. Each bit of departing space station debris carries is own portion of the momentum, and doesn't magically "transfer" something (before it leaves) to the rotating system that it ceased to be a part of. Classic example of overthinking. The rotating space station (in this example) is actually LOSING angular momentum, because it is losing mass CARRYING momentum. If you're wondering what is meant by "conservation of angular momentum", the explanation given by the narrator... isn't it. The figure skater who pulls her arms in during a spin, ROTATES FASTER because of conservation of angular momentum. But if her arms fell off first, she wouldn't be able to do that, would she? Astrophysical jets (active galaxies, black holes, pulsars, and the like) are gigantic examples of conservation of angular momentum, spinning themselves up to staggering rotational rates. They do NOT do this by shedding PERIPHERAL mass! The mass either stays in the system ("falling in" i.e. moving CLOSER to the AXIS of rotation), or some of it may (optionally) be ejected from the poles.

Your videos are fantastic as ever and I applaud your expansion into non-comic-book movies; Interstellar is a PHENOMENAL choice for your particular brand of breakdown. That said, as an Argentine, your pronunciation at 15:10ish of "Jorge Luis Borges" is so painful hahaha

During Cooper's first trip to NASA, he finds out Murph is hiding in the blankets in the passenger seat. Later on, when he leaves, he checks under the same blankets hoping that she would be there. He then cries because he realizes again that he is leaving his family.

The mistake is that people cannot survive on just corn for long. The lack of nutrients from just eating corn would kill you in months. more likely scenario is that people can produce more types of food on earth, but the trade is difficult so each region mostly eats what they can produce and eat other just enough to survive. Scurvy and other autoimmune diseases would kill everybody. And by that, the motive to leave earth is a bit stretched, humanity has many ways to do micro farming without crops dying. Also, it's clear that the future humans would not exist without Cooper going through the Wormhole so the paradox must be explained by multiple parallel universes.

If one day I made a top 10 of my favorite science fiction movies, I think Interstellar would be an easy 5 around there, and for me it is still my favorite of Nolan's filmography. It is an audiovisually perfect film, brilliantly acted, and excellently written, it can be complex but entertaining, and it is very emotional These are the movies that are worth seeing in the cinema of greater size and quality

12:45 I dont know if im wrong or right. Just came to my mind watching along the video itself. Could it be on millers planet the wave is rising so high because of the black hole near it. Like on earth the tides are mainly occurred by the moon which is closer to earth. The black hole might have a larger gravitational pull and because of that the waves are going so high than usual. Just a guess❤😅
@hadesofthehell4913
@hadesofthehell4913 27 күн бұрын
That defeats the whole point of gravity, if the blackhole is powerful enough to pull the wave to that terrific height, I'm pretty sure the characters there would be flying up along with it

Just because there are no greenscreens doesn't mean everything is in camera. Greenscreens are not at all needed nowadays, the public was taught for 40 years that greenscreen = has vfx and none = practical, but it's not the case there's a lot of behind the scenes material showing it on Interstellar. There's a lot of replacements of "stuff we shot for real" because early projections are not at all final nor good looking enough for a feature release a lot of times. This narrative is borderline misinformation, and while we all know Nolan speaks so much of his practical focus it sounds like that's all there is, behind the scenes he's DNEG's biggest and most faithful client. Edit : There was no projection on the tesseract, that's just anticg made up stuff. The set didn't even make it to final, it's for immersion, only close up books were real.
