I first heard about the "cat like" and "dog like" face in a kdrama and didn't quite get it either. But in that particular kdrama's context, it seemed like having a "dog like" face refers to a female who was bubbly and cutesy whereas a female with a "cat like" face is someone who seemed aloof and chic cute.

It's a facial proportion thing. Likening features to an animal type is very common in Koreann and Chinese culture.

Nope it does refer to their facial features. These actors are then picked according to their facial features to portray certain personalities in dramas. Cat-like is basically more slanted/exotic looking features. Prime example is Jennie from BP. Fox-like is even more slanted and sharper than cat, such as Yeji from Itzy. Dog-like is softer and more open features that look more welcoming. For the guys, definitely Hyunjoong lol. And of course in kdramas, the cat-like ones are often selected to be the more aloof people, the dog-like ones are usually the protagonists or cheery people.

HAHAHHA I would like to clarify on the blood type thing!! I stayed in korea for awhile and in my stay, I realised Koreans believe that your blood type reflects certain personality. It’s pretty impt to them, like how zodiac and horoscope is for some people! That’s why when sihun said he finds it hard to talk to girls, JiA guessed that he is a certain blood type. And the doll part which JiA mentioned is a word play, pretty good flirting technique I would say - rather than being awkward! 😂😂

I kinda see that a lot of the nuances in the korean language wasn't captured in subs. A lot of the things commented on like "cat-like face" (there's also dog type face) and the talk about blood type or *"doll type"* (an overdone pun), and "pale skin is ideal" were just things in korean dating culture that people who were unfamiliar with korean culture might not relate with. I havent watched this show but I do find variety dating shows like this just awkward and no matter where and how it is done

For the part where Ji-A says she's doll type, they were talking about blood types and you usually say A-hyeong to say A type with Hyeong (형) meaning type. Ji-A replied she's a Inn-Hyeong (doll) which then got loosely translated as doll type. Just a bit of word play that got lost in translation.

I have seen couple episode and my thought is...quite entertaining but not my kind of thing. Just some bunch of cute guys and girls hang out in an island for dating competition but lacking the excitement of game show. I think it is popular among girls viewers who love Korean handsome oppa, but for me its too cliche and obviously srcripted. So I'll pass. The show stealer of course is Jia, the girl with small handbag, her looks really like Jennie Blackpink.

My opinion on the show and the couples. Se-Hoon and Ji-Yeon I feel like was the most scripted relationship like Ji-Yeon disliked Se-Hoon so much it made her so uncomfortable/awkward around him and she change all of a sudden out the blue,someone can change their feelings that fast it’s beyond me. Both were so dramatic/emotional especially when Ji-Yeon started crying at the dinner like girl. I hated at the end when they had to choose and Se-Hoon went up to Min-ji and then went to Ji-Yeon it was so awkward Min-ji ears turned red from embarrassment (100% both went their own ways after the show.) So-Yeon and Jin-Taek I feel like I don’t know what Jin-Taek was doing with that chest hair or who advised him to come on the show looking like that He needs to shave it off it just looked so funny/bad and he had a amazing body but the hair has got to go. I was also shocked when he went to ‏paradise with Ji-Yeon what are these mixed messages/signals. So-Yeon I feel like was really messy when she thought Jin-Taek didn’t like her she went running to Se-Hoon and expressed her feelings and how she was telling Se-Hoon to forget about Ji-Yeon. I feel like So-Yeon felt like if Se-Hoon went with her she would be getting revenge at Jin-Taek and make him feel jealous she wanted to use Se-Hoon as a toy for her own purposes/gain. Jin-Taek looks like the player type (Both probably end up together after the show) Ji-A and Hyun-joong (her puppy) In my opinion JI-A carried the show she just had the most story and drama to watch. She just had this diva,sexy and cute energy which made everyone full in love with her especially her iconic sayings/lines 😂🤣 Her style/makeup she just looked amazing she looked like a barbie doll. I also believe Ji-A didn’t come on the show to find love she came for the fun of it and the experience and she didn’t like any of the guys from the beginning she said it in the first episode when they asked her are any of the guys your type she replied NO I laughed so badly 🤣😅 Hyun-joong was ok but I feel like his the needy type I feel like he just stands there until you do what he says. Overall I feel like Ji-A chose Hyun-joong because she felt bad for him and they spent the most time together. (Their relationship didn’t last after the show.) Ji-A and Si-Hun I feel like si-hun was really boring and he had so many red flags especially when he was following Ji-A around he felt like the stalker type really creepy/scary. To be honest Ji-A shouldn’t have leaded him on if she didn’t like him but then again Ji-A did give him a hint she wasn’t into him and he understood. Feel like Si-Hun just wanted a one night stand. The most embarrassing part was at the end when he chose Ji-A like WTF he clearly new she wasn’t going to pick him what was he thinking I think this was scripted also cause he can’t be that stupid like your 30 years old. Walking L for sure Jun-Sik and Yea-Won seriously they chose each other just for the fun of it I can’t see them two being in a relationship. I feel like Jun-Sik only chose Yea-Won was because he felt like she liked him and he only spoke to her the most. So sad wish Yea-Won had more screen time she just feels like the funny type and the person that makes everyone laugh and have a fun time. Overall nothing to say about theses two. (100% both went their own ways after the show probably stayed friends) Hyunseung and Yeawon I feel like they was ok together. Yeanwon she’s just so bubbly and cute/funny she can make anyone fall for her. I didn’t like when Hyunseung was speaking to Yeawon he made it look like he really liked her and he went around telling everyone she so nice and funny making us think he was going to choose Yeawon when he truly liked Ji-A. I just wish they had given our girl Yeawon more screen time. (They become friends after the show Yeawon upload a video of them together on her KZbin channel doing a Q&A) And for the other contestants I really couldn’t careless I don’t see the point of them being on the show and so overall dramatic especially Min-ji like girl you just been on the show for a day it’s not that deep I feel like this girl really must have liked Se-Hoon noise for her to behave like that 😂🤣😂 Overall the concept of the show was good I wish they had more game/activities and a better male cast hopefully season 2 will be better ✌🏻

I think si-hun's name was not romanized properly. The hoon in si-hoon's name is pronounced like the one in se-hoon's. While si is not "see" but "she"
