@@JoeyLeong88 Yup, he also did Frybo, one of the fusion experiments in the hospital, and actually does most of the corrupted gems. He’s pretty well-known for voicing animals and other roles like that.

I’m gonna have to agree with you. That drawing scene in “Monster Reunion” is beautifully orchestrated. It gives me so many chills and gets a tear in my eye every time - especially since everyone else knows a little more about corruption and the diamonds than you (no spoilers). They build the tension in that story up bit by bit, and then there’s just that ominous music as she stabs a black crayon into the paper. Gets me every time.

I’m glad you took a break; you don’t want to be burned out. Glad you’re back tho! Definitely missed your reactions and thoughts about it. The relationship between Jasper and Lapiz is supposed to represent a toxic couple who are co-dependent so I’m glad you picked it up! I like how this show is for kids but definitely throws serious adult themes to the mix. Thank you for a wonderful video!

"Lesbians in space." ya did it you broke steven universe to its bare essential! steven using his dream powers for good, but also over extending himself makes me sad :( when centi starts reverting, it sounds like shes screaming 'steven'. i wonder what she wrote on those papers, wish pearl would tell us. props to lapis for choosing to break the cycle of abuse. it definitely couldnt have been easy. and props to the show for showing that they were both just bad for each other and it wasnt just some one sided abuse. lapis doesnt fit the 'mold' of how an abuser 'should look like' as apposed to jasper.

I love the part where Lapis admits she misses being fused with Jasper, but acknowledges that that's messed up. It's such a real, uncomfortable feeling to miss your abuser. You know you shouldn't, but having had a connection that intimate with somebody, even though it was so negative, is such a powerful feeling. It's like your brain is programmed to want to be around people you've had that intimate connection with regardless of the nature of the intimacy.
