Watching the Battle of Jedha in slow motion revealed SO many hidden details that everyone missed watching these episodes for the first time. Chirrut Imwe vs a squad of Stormtroopers was an amazing fight. So, here's a compilation of all the different things I've found! Let's begin.

Also, STORMTROOPER ARMOR IS ACTUALLY STRONG! It is just because all of the heroes in the original trilogy use overpowered blasters that are actually illegal.

One of my pet peeves about Stormtroopers in Star Wars is blaster bolts leaving marks on the armour. Most of the time they don't, but then sometimes they do. Also while Donnie Yen is pretty good as a blind martial artist in this film, I thought he did it better in John Wick: Chapter 4. Maybe he had more practice between films.

I almost feel sorry for Saw. He'd spent most of his entire life fighting wars, and against the Empire, it eventually drove him crazy. He became ruthless and brutal in his methods, using the same tactics the Empire used against him. He broke every rule of engagement for the sake of victory. He held no honor in combat, he just fought. Fought like a madman. And it ruined his body in the process. He knew the Empire was making something, a secret they intended to keep until it was completed. He spent so long searching for it, and by 0 BBY, IT had found HIM! After 2 decades of war, after years of searching, hoping to stop what the Empire was making, only for Saw to find out it was too little, too late. He went down as part of the first wave of victims to the Death Star. RIP Saw Gerrera.

1:49 those are Anomids and are native to the Yablari 3:22 The Guardians of the Willith is just a religious organization founded in 282 BBY and was separate from the then known Jedi Order, they preached Being one with the force (and with working around the Kyber crystals gave them near Jedi force sensitivity), they specialized in making the native light bow native to Jedha. The Guardians (namesake) were tasked to protect the pilgrims who would come to the temple. into the Imperial era, They kept defending pilgrims until unfortunately the Empire came and pillaged it for the valuable kyber crystals for their new super weapon. Even after the falling of the Temple the Guardians still had a presence in Jedha City which is where we are know at the start of this video 3:57 This guy here is a Talpini and they are native too Tal Pi a world in the Outer rim 8:49 I believe those are Spamel and are native to Jedha 15:39 I believe that is a Sabat that are native to Sabat and Max Kanata’s species is unknown however they do look similar And who don’t love the end of the loose end of Saw’s character since the Clone wars. Since you wondered about Jedha lore, a recent High Republic audio story, "The Battle of Jedha" talks about Kyber Mirrors. There's a book version of the story as well. The wiki says pilgrims used to go there for visions. Edit: Hold on. Those animals the troopers are on. Those are Spamels! From Jedi: Survivor. I thought that game invented them. Wow.

You should review the series of clone wars episodes where obi wan pretends to get shot, is presumed dead, disguises as a bounty hunter in prison, participates in a prison break, then participates in trials and earns trust with cad bane (Enbos there too I think) and then works in a plot to assassinate the senate

Personally, Rogue One is the best Disney era SW movie so far. I even like it more the Solo 0:52 Don't forget how Wrecker in The Bad Batch series premiere cracked a Clone Trooper helmet on Kamino. I think that Clone Trooper is part of the Coruscant Guard, judging by the red armor marking

A lot of this lore is explained by the visual guide books which in turn connects further to both current canon and the EU. An example are the guys in the cloaks, who are religious pilgrims to the kyber temple and they have some sort of connection to George's original ideas about star wars.

Its a shame Chirrut Imwe(Donnie Yen) died in that movie. I wanted to see more of him fight like that since in real life he is an actor and martial artist that doesn't need masked body double. 4:27 I get what you meant but it's supposed to be an ambush so it wouldn't make sense if stormtrooper already gun them down that quickly. 6:40 The civilians and attackers are all wearing unique outfit running around. To us audience its obvious to know who is who but to the stormtroopers its not that easy to tell them apart
