Interesting fact about clone armor (Im pretty sure from what I remember. I might be wrong): Near the start of the war they wore Phase 1 Clone Armor. Very sturdy and strong, so when a clone was shot by a blaster bolt, it'd spread the energy across the body. That would save a lot of clones, as the shot wouldn't exactly kill but instead knock out clones. But it was very uncomfortable. So in the Phase 2 armor, it was made more comfortable, though at a cost of protection. Clones in Phase 2 are probably dead when they shot. Oh and Phase 2 had more modification abilities and better tech, I believe.

5:07 it looks like the one who died right on touchdown was some form of XO/CO as well, considering it looks like he was wearing a pauldron. so if so, that squad would've been sent into immediate disarray upon /landing/ simply because their CO just got absolutely fucking destroyed

Also you may have noticed Pong Krell’a lightsabers have a deeper sounding hum instead of the usual one so it’s a nice detail that they added in to add more diversity to the lightsabers.

Out of ALL the episodes, the 3 episodes of the battle on Umbara will always be my favorites. Intense, emotional, justice and a lot of grit.

The umbarans can actually breathe there. The gas they're breathing in are stimulants to increase their performance in battle. I think it numbs pain, increases aggression, and dulls fear.

In fact, the Umbrians can breathe without helmets (otherwise they could not have evolved) the gas in their helmets is actually a mixture of different gas to dope them in combat

3:40 I don’t remembered where I heard it but part of the Umbara army design inspiration come from the Covenant from Halo. When I saw this arc I always get back to that iconic level from Halo CE “343 guilty spark” where you land into a foggy forest and get inside the installation where the Flood was liberated …

3:50 I don’t know if you were thinking about this but when you said the gun looks like the different weapon in Star Wars and how it disintegrates, reminds me of the weapon Din Djarin uses when he disintegrates the Jawas in ep 2-3 (forgot which one) the barrel of the weapon looks quite similar imo.

All of his sad noises as clones keep dying is completely relatable 😭😭😭 I love the clones SO much this is so freaking sad 😭😭

When I was a kid, I was really scared while watching the episode and honestly after growing up and rewatching it. I see why I was so scared. Clones were dying left to right and to an extent it felt like I was with the clones and getting gunned down by what seems to be a technologically superior force.

So the umbarans are actually able to breath the air because they’re just humans, the reason they have those helmets, and why there was gas leaking out when fives elbowed him, and why there’s only smoke when they’re hit in the head, is because the helmet is filled with a special gas that acts like steroids. They take these normal humans and advance them for relatively cheap

One of my favorite parts was the clones standing up to Krell Krell: You’re making a mistake by crossing me, CLONE. Captain Rex: it’s Captain, SIR. Fives: In case you haven’t noticed Captain Rex saved this platoon! Surely you won’t FAIL to recognize THAT! Krell: ARC-5555 STAND DOWN.
