I study maths in university, and there’s a lot of questions where I’m screaming the answer at you, and for others, I’m sitting there with no clue while you answer it brilliantly. School exams suck, but don’t beat yourself up over it

the fact this was foundation too 😵💫every person does this knows the struggle of not being able to complete the second half of the paper, like the first half is almost bearable and then the last half is painful. Also i think that was well done PJ, i would average around 25 for my own maths papers 😂

I tried, man. I really tried. Given the fact that I learned my maths (and all the lingo that goes into it) in Estonian, my native language, I had no idea what some things meant and literally had to google their meaning to figure things out. Still didn't get too far, especially with the probabilities part, as somehow through me switching schools multiple times somehow made me skip probability part of the math class (yes, our schools have different curriculums/teachers choose what to teach when and so schools have slightly different times for learning certain parts of maths, for example). I really excelled at the "find y when x=..." and these simple and logical straightforward parts though :3

There were a few questions towards the end where I could just feel how frustrated PJ was getting and I was like “nooo take a breath and think about it for a second” but then again I don’t know if I would’ve passed the exam either 😅 I also went to school for art and I learned maths in a different language so the questions are even more confusing 🥲

for anyone who may need to know and hasn't thought of it for a while, the way to deal with time constraints is skip anything you're not confident on, do the rest, go back through and choose the easiest ones out of the ones you skipped, then repeat that until you have as many answers as you can get

"Am I allowed to swear? I'm technically not supposed to be talking." That gave me the biggest laugh I've made all day. My belly was not prepared. "I'm halfway through and I'm drawing a flower." 11:55 "Work out- No." Me for every exam question I didn't understand, which was a lot. Checking my GCSE maths result (still got my certificates), I got an F. I was in bottom set every single year of secondary school. The only result that was worse was graphics, which I was actually okay at but I got a G for it because I forgot absolutely everything I needed for the exam. I turned up with just a pencil.
