Omg i'm so jealous of you Jack... i wish i could go to korea and buy a thousnad of books there. I read the vegetarian for my contemporary korean literature class and loved it and for the upcoming book day i bought both 'human acts' and 'the white book', i cant wait to receive and read them!! Specially human acts because i heard marvelous reviews from my friends and i'm all ready to cry (something about the Gwangju masacre always make me shive and cry). I bought the spanish version because i heard is incredibly well translated and the translation of deborah smith had some mistakes from the korean... but i hope you enjoy it to the fullest :)

Never seen a British KZbinr I subscribe come to my hometown before! Kyobo Gwanghwamun branch is my all time fav bookshop. Love your video even more now. Though, I'd like to recommend you to have a glance on Korean publications to see how beautifully they make the covers and everything. It's quite different from what English/American ones usually have. Enjoy your time in Seoul!

I've been waiting for this!! I moved to South Korea (not Seoul tho) almost exactly 2 months ago and I've only been to a couple of bookstores. I'm still finding going out a bit intimidating but bookstores are my comfort space. Also the cover design here is top tier!! Can't wait until I can comfortably read all those beautiful books.

During my exchange semester in Korea, I absolutely fell in love with the bookstores. All the books are super pretty and presented beautifully.
