You can unlock crushed bone; @ 5:51 you can see it in your blueprints...Behind the Mortar/Pestle unlock; Need to heal Komodo bite with antibiotics; Fur armor is incredible, also consider fireplace for your adventure, won't have to worry aboput lighting the place on fire. Harvest boar the cooked bacon gives +exp buff...

Nice episode! That was an awesome surprise kill shot with the scorpion! Tip: fiber armor is the better option for desert heat over the leather. The mammoth tusk is the free recipe, you have to unlock the blueprint for regular bone.

Some winter biome caves have mushrooms you can bring back and grow in crop plots. You can make some really good buff recipes with those eventually (at stove level).

Scorpions have the ability to armor up, when the plates are white you deal normal damage when they are brown it is armored up and damage is reduced. poison / dot effects are not diminished

crushed bone is a recipe you must unlock in the pastel you do not need mamoth tusks

Artic Scorps are a bitch to deal with on flat ground but if you jump on a big flat rock they can't climb and you can kill them easy with a spear

This is somewhat random, but something I think would be cool to see is where you have to string/unstring your bow. Currently its one of the best weapons in the early game because of its damage and especially range and speed, but if they made it so when you leave it strung, it takes more durability damage than if it wasn't strung, it'd make it more realistic and give the player more reason to use another weapon such as a spear. Having to string the bow to use it would inflict a time penalty, meaning it wouldn't be great for immediate threats, and it'd be perfect for when you plan on hunting. I feel like it would balance the weapon more and round out the usage of weapons in general in the early game. Good idea or no? Also, the biggest thing one can learn when it comes to survival is this: Recognize when a situation has too many risks, acknowledge that and know what amount of risk you can take. The hardest thing in this is not knowing when you're in too deep, but recognizing when a situation can lead to a place you may not be able to get out of, and pull out before that happens. Icarus is neat because of how accurate it is to real life and how quickly things can go bad, so when heading to a new place, prep as much as possible and go simply to see how harsh the climate is. Time is your most abundant resource, so having to go back and rekit yourself for the environment because its harsher than you thought wont cost you much.

The scorpion parts and the cave worm parts are of no use until you unlock the crafting recipes through a couple of olympus missions. Can't remember which ones but I think they were quite far through the mission tree.

Try to use the crossbow with copper bolts. Easy to make and has a little bit more damage. That’s my own prefer weapon in the game other than the sniper of course. 😎👍🏼 Epoxy can be made by normal bones. Check the first option on the iron bowel. You don’t need mammoth for that.
