I went off the grid for three weeks... | Outward Bound NZ

I decided to take a trip that allowed me to live in the outdoors for 3 weeks in New Zealand. I had no phones, no books, no family, and no internet for 21 days and I had to rely on the kindness of strangers around me to overcome any physical and mental challenges. Looking back.... it's safe to say that it changed my life.
I was fortunate enough to have 21 days of adventure and challenge to look forward to such as long multi-day tramps, kayaking, sailing, waka ama, high ropes, a half marathon, and so so much more. I was able to do so much in these 21 days and I believe that anyone is capable of doing anything they put they're mind to. My take away message for you all today is that there is more in you!

I did outward bound in 2010 and i was the only person on the trip who didn’t get a letter from loves ones. The only one out of the whole group. Yea it was sad to realize it then my mom tells me after i get back that she did sent them and mailed them incorrectly but the damage was done and i obviously forgave her but shittt

They have scholarships available and you can also ask local businesses/boards to sponsor you! I funded the trip myself... had to work quite a bit ngl.

Yes 10000000000000% worth it. Also, there are scholarships available on their website or your local charity/club/RSA can sponsor you. 😊
