@@eyecandy-gaming Think about any goal or large scale endeavor that is high risk/ high reward. Will simple action and planning, even the most extensive and rigorous planning, make it so that all will go accordingly? Did man send a rocket into space and walk on the moon ONLY because of action and planning? Is all of man's accomplishment devoid of hope due to action? I would wholeheartedly agree with you if humans were robots. But we are not. Now ask yourself again, is human achievement never comprised of some hope ever? Sorry if this is a bit much, but the absolutness in your position on this matter requires some serious reevaluation.

Ryan, you’re reading way too much into it. There are absolute truths in this world. Hope does not exist in physical reality. The consequences of actions do. Yes, hope is a motivation for action, but action can continue when hope dies and determination and discipline does not. If more people just “did” instead of “hoped to do”, then they’d be much happier than your romantic interpretation of this topic.

I looked into travelling there recently (from Scotland) and was surprised to learn the quickest way (other than flying) is to drive most of the way (via the euro tunnel). It's a real shame there isn't a ferry between Scotland and Norway, they're so close geographically.

The colour palete you chose for each expresses so much feeling and the creative additions to the landscape paintings really shows off your creativity so well, marking each peice as a one of a kind. my personal favourites are the mountain top for the inspiration and peace it convays in such a pretty colour palete and the last waterfall one because of the feeling of power and urgency and movment. Increadably well done, you've proven yourself a fantastic artifst, i can see your peices in a gallery anywhere with ease.

Greetings from rainy England in the UK. Great video Martina and Hansi, sorry that so many good opportunities for painting were ruined by the rain. Just to help, in the UK which does suffer from constant rain, I have seen some people (like those doing river fishing) use miniature portable “gazebos”, which look like large foldable umbrellas, which are light and easily carried. In the case of an artist painting in rainy conditions, they are tall enough for an artist to stand upright comfortably, and wide enough to cover all their equipment while they are painting. They have a spike that can driven into the ground, so they can self-stand, and in very heavy rainy weather, have flaps that can be pulled down from the umbrella to turn them into a small tent (about 2m x 2m), which would keep dry both the person and any equipment they are using. Most people doing fishing also use a small folding chair for extra comfort over long periods of activity. When the rain is over, the “gazebo” can be folded up and taken to the next location. Hope this helps, I only wish KZbin had the ability to post a photo of it in the comments section, to be better illustrated than words alone, but it is very popular in England, with people who want to do outdoors activities in a rainy environment, but always keep warm and dry. Every success with your future outdoors painting, and I hope this equipment helps you in rainy conditions. 🌧☂️😊 (P.S. Something like it is listed in Amazon under the link: www.amazon.co.uk/Michigan-Fishing-Umbrella-Windows-Shelter/dp/B00IULHPBS ).

You always upload regularly projects that take so much time so I'd been wondering for long whether you actually had taken the time to go out on an adventure using the van and I'm happy that you did:) and in general I really like the 'more adventurous' video's like this one or the one where you spent a week in the forest painting. In general I love how you guys always come up with new challenges, you almost never repeat yourself and that is really admirable. I also always think that a lot of the bookcovers you made very beautifully are very empty inside and i thought, maybe it would be cool to organise some kind of shortstory fantasy/scifi writer's contest (I'm sure loads of your fans are very creative people) and then make a bounded and illustrated book of the best ones? Dearest Martina, I adore all of the NORDFORGE episodes you and Hansie (especially Nori the Great) have presented for us. I am a model railroader and have used many of your techniques in structure builds. My granddaughter and ???grandson-in-law??? (her husband) are both into that costume play & conventions. She has thanked me many times over for referring her to your YT channel for your costume ideas. Also her 6 years old son (my great grandson) is into Dungeon and Dragon type games. And he likes your channel. But only when you do "stuff for my game". That's the highest form of praise you'll ever get from Freddie. Trust me I've been there!😢 So thanks for all of that. Now on to this video.}≥≥≥≥ Your trials and tribulation to extend your artistry was enjoyable. But your "FINAL RESULTS" (SNAP) were shear elegance. When my wife was alive she was the true artist in the family. I was/am just a hack by comparison. But she used a wet on wet painting technique she learned from both Bill Alexander & Bob Ross. More the former over the later. SO I was wondering if you continued with your (much needed and used) crafting as your primary content but adding a more and deeper painting tutorials it would increase your content reach and increase your viewer subscribers.😊 Just a thought. You could become the next art teacher sensation. Hey to Hans. ❤❤❤Hi to Nori the Great. We love you SUPER PUP.🐕❤❤❤ ~JIM in the Berkshire Mountains of New York, U.S.A. BURR it's cold.

Everything in this video is really inspiring: the landscape, the final art and even those moments when the weather or other circumstances are against you, it proves that it takes effort but in the end it's worth it. Such a beautiful video and overall experience, for many reasons. First of all, seeing you so hyped up about painting, and about this trip, experiencing everything deeply, was so inspiring. The cinematography in this video was so on point, it really gave us the feeling of this whole trip and experience as if we were there (I'm sure it was ten times more unique in reality but it felt unique as I was watching too). Lastly, seeing the paintings in order in the end gave me kind of a nostalgic feeling, apart from admiring how well they were made, because I saw you experience these sceneries up close and then transfer your inspiration and feelings directly onto the canvas. It was way more unique than getting inspired by a photo or creating images from your imagination. They have way more to them as artworks because of the feelings you experienced on this trip. Thank you for sharing!💜

Having your thoughts, feelings, and impressions recorded in real time made this especially compelling. I was reminded of trips I've gone on to do astrophotography. A very different thing, but it also depends on location -- for dark skies; the nearest are many hours away from me -- and, of course, the weather. But also, setting up after carrying lots of heavy, awkward to the right spot, and hoping for everything to work out now that you're there. When you said near the end of the video that you started with an idealized vision of what the trip would be like, but that reality turned out differently, I really related to that! I do it every time, but I try to keep in mind that, whatever happens, there will be stories to tell. You told this story wonderfully; literally, and in more than one sense, wonderfully! Thanks for taking us along.

When you spoke about the Nøkken it reminded me of the Celtic creature called a Kelpie. Kelpies are horse shaped creatures that live in rivers and lakes, they make themselves look like friendly horses and will easily walk up to you, and when you touch them, your hand gets stuck and they take off into the water with you.
