Love how you always give a little "pat" to the items you leave on the shelves, Dani....almost like a "hang in there, your perfect home will come along"... (I've found myself doing the same thing!)... when my husband was alive, if we did go to a thrift store or yard sale, he'd give me a bad time and always ask "why I had to TOUCH EVERYTHING".... amazing the differece in FEEL with an item of quality vs. one made in China... Thanks for taking us along on your adventures!!❤✌❤ (I'm with you, Noah...I would have enjoyed my coffee out of that cool looking single mug!!)

Hey Dani! The ceramic pot with brass handle and copper ring is the insert for a vintage double boiler. They sell for great money as a possible replacement piece or just as is. Love your videos.
@Foxlairmktg2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the missing base pot is usually copper (for boiling the water), while the ceramic insert pot is used to melt chocolate, etc. to avoid burning its contents over direct heat.

Those fluffy doilies would be dipped in starch and then formed into the shapes they were supposed to be. In order to keep the shape until they dried, crumpled wax paper, or foil was stuffed into the curves until they dried. This was repeated every time the doily was washed They are beautiful- my mother crocheted dozens of them back in her day! I still have a lot of them packed away , I had kinda forgotten about them
@PntrGrl2 жыл бұрын
My mother made those too. She put Coke bottles in the " flouffers" to make them stand up and dry while starching

The antlers have something to do with a clock. The ceramic pot may be a double boiler, Dae Woo. The doily in the middle of the 3 that has the flower in the middle is probably a cover for a hot mat. I remember my mom making that pattern to go on one of ours when I was a child.

Hi, Danni, just wanted let you know that at 22:18 @ the left in the picture in the plates section the grey covered dish is Tupperware. It does have 3 pieces with a steamer section and is for the microwave.
@TheSparklyBeader872 жыл бұрын
Yes, immediately to the right of the baster with yellow bulb, it looks like Ultra-21 by Tupperware, which has a good resale value. I would say more creamy beige than grey. I used to sell Tupperware in the early 1980s and the Ultra-21 cookware is excellent microwave cookware.

I think Helen & Bruce are a lovely couple I thought those lamps were just gorgeous. Thought for sure they’d be a great pair for the booth. (Hope this is not a repeat story)-my MIL made a quilt out of large squares of beautiful plain satin fabric. And on every square she had a doily. She had one square left over which we had professionally framed. It is really gorgeous I liked the couch pillows- I’m kinda boring I guess Great haul!! God bless with great success!!!!

Those very vintage/antique bedroom lamps that you didn't pick up, but gave an honorable mention, are very close to the pair that I have passed down from my grandmother to my mom and to me. I've never seen another pair exactly like mine in all my research, but they have a white porcelain treetrunk with pink roses along the entire length a similar brass base to that pair. Mine have much older cords, however, like a brown fabric of sorts. I love them 💗 💓 ♥️ 💕 💛 💖

I feel so bad for the crocheted items, I would take them all to. Someone worked really hard on those beautiful, gorgeous doilies. I am a crocheter and seeing all of them there makes me feel bad. Some people don't realize the time it takes you to make them. I wouldn't give them as gift unless I knew they wanted the items. If someone does give your baby or you a crocheted gift, it means your a pretty special person to them.

I went to both of our Goodwills yesterday and I couldn't believe there were absolutely no collectable figurines. I will never understand all the broken and chipped merchandise....and its way over priced. Seems to be less and less reasons to go to thrift stores when everything costs them NOTHING and they still charge top dollar. I may as well go back to buying brand new if I had to pay their prices. Your stores in Vegas,however,seem so much better. Still fun to shop with you.
