We used to have this motto/tradition here in America, "No white after Labor Day" which is a National holiday in USA, the first Monday in September. Basically, a lot of people used to follow: don't wear white dresses, no white shoes, no white trousers, white jackets, etc. I don't think young people follow this rule these days but some older folks still do that I know and don't wear any white clothes until the springtime. Yes, some people, even some younger somtimes but (mostly older though), still hold on to this very old tradition. 😊
