I agree with the fact that it's not exactly environmentally friendly BUT she stated first and foremost that she's vegetarian, so she's a lot concerned about the animal aspect of leather. In this case, she is right in her opinion on not purchasing real leather. (And I'm very sure you won't find vegan leather bags in hong kong faux designer remakes, so this decision would only be plausible if that was an option or what she even set out to do.)

I once bought a fake designer handbag and just felt awkward using it in public. They’re so obviously fake. It’s so embarrassing when the bag peels and cracks. I now invest in authentic designer bags as I respect the quality, detail, craftsmanship & originality designers put into bags especially classic bags in leather. I invest in bags that will last me for years and pass down to my kids or resale when things get hard or when I want to purchase a new one.

The price of these products are so low it's insane!! For people who got recommended this video during this strange time like me, please BE AWARE. The idea of getting a really good counterfeit bag of a world renowned designer that won't be real leather due to it being an expensive material sounds brilliant! Right? But you can't ignore the fact that these prices are so low that this product could only have been sourced with non-ethical measures. In the case of fashion we are talking about just as damaging as the fast-fashion industry, therefore meaning factories pumping out unrestricted amounts of toxins into the nearby environment affecting neighbouring habitats and towns. Furthermore these counterfeits are all high quality, (as the woman in the video stated), which shows that someone put in high quality work to get paid next to nothing of what they would have been paid working for the real designer brands. This is evident as those people selling the products in the markets were still willing to comfortably drop their price further down when lightly pushed from an already low price. Please do not support this industry !

I think the reason why they charge the locals less is because they know that they can not afford the price of what it is worth. They assume that people coming from America has money because they do. What pisses me off about this whole video, is the entire statement of "I'd rather buy fake Gucci for few pounds, than spend the money on a real piece." Even more so when we all know she's loaded. This whole "I don't want to buy real leather." She is bargaining for products, that are most likely produced by KIDS, that either earn a little, or nothing at all and spend tens of hours a day to complete the tasks they're told to. The fact these bags can be faked and sold at a fraction of the price just shows how much the luxury brands are ripping people off. Yes quality and materials might not be the same but some dupes are pretty good. I’ve wasted so much money on designer bags and, as a 50 year old, could have bought another house or many *esluxs* with what I’ve spent. There is a really good market in Stratford uk. There are millions of stalls and all for really cheap. You can get fake tops for £3 and then there is bags shoes and EVERYTHING!!! Definitely recommend it xx it is called Welsbourn . Xx

Wish, Ali Express, and cheap things like that are made in sweatshops where the works aren't paid and the amount of the cheap fabric and things is worse for the environment than a single good quality leather bag. I don't agree with a lot of places and how they farm leather, im sure there are few farms that treat cows correctly. I'm saying in the context of this video, real leather that is collected correctly is better for the environment. That's why brands like Gucci, LV, and YSL are so high dollar. With the whole child labor thing, it is the same with fake leather and most cheaply made fabrics.

Labour laws in china are easily some of the most lax in the world. As for actual designer brands, many of the high end designers actually control the entire process of production and own their own leather farms, child labour is NEVER involved in the production of high end designer goods because LV, Chanel, Hermes etc. have a lot to lose if governments start cracking down on them for child labourers - lawsuits and arrests are both expensive and embarrassing. Whereas, like I said, there is next to zero oversight in Chinese sweatshops.
