I was behind Liam Gallagher in the chippy years ago and he was complaining about being charged a tenner for a steak pie and chips. Their reply was ' You gotta roll with it '

Back in the very early 90s, just weeks before they hit the big time, Liam was still living at home with his mum, I got a phone call from a mate who knew them very well, anyway, Liam had bought a lambretta but was having problems with it, I was well into scooters back then and had worked on lambrettas a lot. So we went to his mum's house (all the way from Wigan) His mum answered the door, little Irish lady with a big voice and shouted Liam who came bouncing down the stairs. Anyway, long story short, I got his scooter running in no time and he paid me a fiver 😂 As far as I know, he still has it.

I've lived in Burnage all my life - just a couple of minutes away on the road at the opposite end to where you started the video! As a matter of interest, my brother and sister-in-law moved to Blackpool in 2012 and own the Ayrton House Holiday Apartments on Dean Street! I'm sure you'll know it - bright yellow building with a Goldmine carriage and Monorail carriage in the front yard!

We moved from Burnage to Cleveleys in 2021, know the area well, lived on Burnage Lane. The Albion pub has been shut for about 8 years. Pete who owns Sifters is semi retired now, and he only opens 1-5pm, always visit him when I go back to see family. 9:07

Madchester, very interesting times. Interesting topic. So many bands spawned from there. Not least of all, Oasis, Stone Roses, James, Joy Division, The Fall, New Order, Buzzcocks, 10 CC, Hollies, The Smiths, The Courteeners, 808 State, Doves, Elbow, A II Z, Magazine, the list goes on. The Verve, Black grape, Sad Cafe, Salford Jets, Mock Turtles, Kaola Danse, The Slow readers club, Stack Waddy, Yargo, Tractor, The Hoax. Not to mention the wonderful KFM Radio station. Sifters Records, Fog Lane, and King Bee records Chorlton. Brilliant video Mr Wildside.

We moved up here to cleveleys from burnage. We grew up there. It’s changed so much since we were kids. Nice to see it though. The pub that was shut down was very popular back in the day. Dominoes/cards etc that kind of pub. Sifters usually opens at 1pm. Got all my singles and LPs there when we were kids. Shame it’s nothing like it used to be x

Fantastic video Stevie, full of interesting facts, the mural is brilliant. I see some smart arse has said you couldn't even be bothered to pronounce their surname correctly. I've listened to Noel speaking about the pronunciation of Gallagher, and how it differs depending where people are from. The way that you pronounce it Stevie is the way that Noel says the Scottish people say it. Obviously this person in the comments doesn't know that you are part Scottish, or they would keep their judgemental mouth shut!! xx

Very well said! My brother in law is Scottish, and his surname is Gallagher, all of his family pronounce their name as you did in your video Stephen. The poor lonely trolley, If you nick a packet of biscuits they'll call the police but a trolley they'll turn a blind eye, I worked and lived near a large supermarket years ago and used to tell them the if there were trolleys on the bus stop, worst thing is supermarket staff used the same bus stop on the way to work and left them there that comes under Not My Job, But had a cure for trolley litter, after four days I tipped the wink to comrades in other business around the area and beyond and their delivery drivers picked them up on the way back from morning deliveries and used them in their stores for selecting parts, Why carry for four brake discs and two sets of pads when you can push them, So if you see a trolley give it a good home it's lonely and it's owner doesn't love it anymore. P.S. If people didn't nick them we would have this problem, 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟walk again Steve
