1st visit to Amsterdam was 32 years ago……. Got some Sensi & Red Leb from coffee shop Free Adam…..chilled most of the day in this friendly shop toking n drinking pints 👍 5 years ago stayed in the lovely Jordaan area & bought some Agent Orange n edibles….. first spliff of Orange hit me like a mallet 🫠 Last January stayed up by Rijksmuseum & paid a visit to Terps Army 2……carry out only but staff were real helpful n friendly….. got some Mimosa that was tasty af… Hitting 63 yo now & got to be honest Drew…..ain’t got a fkn clue with half the stuff you talk about 😂 I just know if somethings nice n tasty or its a dedda….their names mean nowt ! 😎

@@MrKugelsicher90 Man, I hadn't smoked some strong gassy Amnesia in about eight years. Got a 3.5 yesterday that my guy said was some other weed, but once that skunky kick came out of the bag I knew what I had haha. You're right on the Cali strains in the UK as well. Lots of guys buy fake packaging and spray the weed they put in there then sell it for £70 a 3.5. I can happily say I've never paid that for a 3.5 as I simply don't trust the proffesionalism of a lot of the dealers around here. The best weed I've managed to secure has always been off casual friends who don't sell ont he streets but smoke for themselves. There was a strange grapefruit tasting weed going around a few years ago that had really little potency and was labelled as "Cali mids". Can be difficult to get strong weed here in London if someone is going to a one time deal or buying it on the spot, but when we do get good weed it knocks your socks off haha

As a Stoner from So-Cal, I only go for the Dutch strains when I’m in the Netherlands. I get all those “cali” strains, but better here at home. But good OG Dutch/ euro strains are very rare in cali. Crazy how much money I save too 😂

You can have some runtz by fig farms that are top tier quality flower. Or you could get some pacific stone runtz which would be mids. But still runtz nonetheless. Just depends on the grower. I’d like to see CAM or 710 Labs grow some haze here in Cali. It would be some fire.

Thanks for sharing Drew. My last trip to NL was in 2009 and it's nice to see the coffeshops are still ther, but wow. Some of that selection looks like it's from the 90s. I haven't heard about the bubblegum strain in decades. Kinda sucks there is no regulation with production. At least when I go to a dispensary in Ontario I know what I'm getting.

The Dutch government will probably regulate it properly once it comes into effect in Germany, as the German gov want to allow adults to have the right to grow up to three plants at home, and participate in cannabis social clubs. There have been trials for some coffeeshops in NL to be supplied by regulated producers, not sure what the outcome was.

You should visit Den Haag, it’s kind of overtaking Amsterdam as a ‘weedcapital’. A few good shops with Cali strains are Greenhouse Secret Farmers, Dizzy duck and Cremers. All with a smoking area where you could smoke and relax. The shops are near the city center and they are not the only shops located there, I personally just go to these 3.

Damn those menus feel SO dated and old to me. Those strains were the stuff I was seeing around a lot literally 20 years ago here in the US! Also not a fan of most Haze’s, and those seem to be super popular still in the Netherlands. It’s crazy cause I used to dream of going Amsterdam to smoke legally, but now my state is legal where I can grow my own and we have way better strains at the dispensaries than Amsterdam. It’s just insane that the place I use to dream of visiting now seems actually pretty lame!

Amsterdam is a good city to visit for the history and culture, the cannabis availability is a plus but I hardly ever visited the sit-in coffeeshops, as they are usually really busy and full of the typical annoying tourists. The dispensary-style shops where you just pick up and go were fine though. As long as you vapourise you can consume it almost anywhere in public and don't cause problems for other people. Amsterdam is becoming very over-saturated with tourists nowadays and there are loads of other Dutch towns and cities to visit with fewer tourists. The public transportation system is really easy to use, and otherwise, you can bike or walk everywhere else.

Hello, you forget to go back to the Miami coffeeshop. Don't waste your time in Rotterdam if you're looking for a good place to chill. For that, go to Amsterdam. The coffeeshops in R'dam must close at 10 pm and 95 % you can't smoke inside. My favorite shops are Seven (the Bubblegum is excellent) and De Stichting (a very original menu) in the north of Rotterdam. Thank you for your report.

Dutch smokers like Haze, calling it old is like saying: i don't drink coca cola because it's around for so long. And in my experience a lot of US strains are beter in marketing then the effect they have on the user only THC numbers count al other ingredients like CBD are ignored. You also make a lot of assumptions based on a menu, smoke before judging. As a 25 years smoking, cannabis loving, coffeeshop employee i wish there was more White Widow or Power Plant or Orange Bud, new isn't always beter.

Funny how they sell grams and the most you can legally carry is 5 grams. In Canada, we sell ounces for 15 at the lowest and you're allowed to carry 1 ounce on the streets. It's like we went far ahead with the strains and prices while Amsterdam stayed in the past lol.

It’s my first time in Amsterdam next month, may 21st>25th & it’s a solo trip. Anyone got a top 3,5. Things to do, see or experience? Smoked for 10 years in the uk but recently stopped (October 2023) due to having to spend a lot of time in hospital IBD related. yeah so I’m a smoker, first few smokes will be interesting to say the least with having had basically a 6 month tolerance break. I’m so going to bike for a afternoon on a random trek, Got zoo ticket as love animals, wanna visit the cat canal boat. Wondering shall I venture out on the train to another town/city/district??? I’m 31 if that makes any difference to any of you guys & girls ideas on plans… 😅

I'm so glad I found this video! I always wanted to go to Amsterdam but everyone has told me to go to Rotterdam instead because they have much better weed and Amsterdam has only tourist trap weed. After seeing the Amsterdam video and now this one, I know now it's the EXACT OPPOSITE WTF!?

I was selling better strains 15 years ago in dublin 😂 Strawberry haze Amnesia haze Super silver haze G13 Choc-o-lope Blue cheese Sour diesel They all came from Amsterdam and the Blue cheese was unbelievable. Blue cheese seems to be extinct now. Some shops still sell some sort of cheese but it ain't Blue cheese. Half of them coffeeshops are beyond terrible. Amsterdam seems to be the place to be!!!

In Canada you can get 14 grams of AAAA+ at 34% THC for $60CAD we can get ounces for $40 of lower quality around 23 to 25% but that stuff is kind of garbage compared to whats around. Goto Canada and get some cheap premium bud dont pay those insane prices

the amnesia haze gives me a splitting headache every time i smoked it, it was the cheapest half gram on the menu at Anna's coffeeshop in Purmerend, at e3.50 for a 0.5g. it was so insufferable that i tossed it. every time i hit it my head felt like it was going to explode it was that bad. but everything else they had was fine. its the strain itself not just me. someone said the same thing. gives massive headache. just putting this out there because i saw a place you were at had strains called amnesia.

Don't you get asked for I.D.? I was on Eindoven couple of years ago, went into a coffeeshop to score, was told can only sell to Dutch people Got that same answer in 3 different shops. Ended up scoring on the street. Amsterdam coffeeshops no problem.
