My dad's side of the family is from there AND I lived there when I was younger for a year, it was other worldly and I loved it! I think your vlog captured its beauty! It was awesome seeing it all again! The Mississippi River, canal street, bourbon st., the riverboat you took! I LOVE seeing it!

Great video. Do you remember the month that you went? The weather looks great. When I went, it was during July and sweltering. I felt like I was in a sauna. I’m assuming late fall or very early spring is best.

I went at the beginning of February. The weather was amazing! However I didn’t get to do the swamp tour because a lot of reviewers were staying that during that time of the year you don’t get to see the wildlife. If that’s something you want to do I would definitely aim for Spring. 👌🏽🤎

We are actually flying home from Kauai, HI where we spent 6 weeks. We are lucky because our jobs allow us to have winters off so we've visited Kauai for the winter for the last 2 years. On the flight, we actually watched Princess and the Frog and it made me want to visit New Orleans! I loved your video!

Sorry for the late response. It was fantastic! Weather wasn't hot, just comfortable, but some days it was chilly so bring layers. I was able to take in some Mardi Gras festivities before the big crowds arrive mid February. You'll love, New Orleans is amazing!!!

@melissacourt First few days I stayed at the Hi New Orleans which is a hostel but not your typical hostel. Definitely wish I had stayed there the whole trip. The last few days I stayed at the Holiday Inn French Quarter - Chateau Lemoyne. No complaints and both places were centrally located. Sorry for the late response.
