50 and 100 dollar bills command the highest exchange rates and preferably 2013 and newer series (print year, you can get away with 2009 in some markets further north), 5,10s, 20s are an automatic 100-300 naira 'haircut' on whatever the exchange rate is depending on which part of the country. At that point you are better wiring the cash from your account to an account they provide (that is an entirely different discussion) because usually the amounts you want to convert needs to be over 1K USD at minimum.
