I'm the same ..... i only use a card when I'm forced too ..... fortunately the vast majority of places that I've visited still take cash, and one or two will ONLY take cash.

Another card only place. Getting sick of it. I myself doesnt use cash but im on about those who don't have bank accounts for various reasons. Cash is legal tender. Why all of a sudden no one wants to deal with it in hospitality is beyond me.

Blummin eck, that was incredible. We get fish and chips in London but nought like that. Going up to Blackpool next month that's the first place on our eating list.I would struggle to finish it but ide give it a go..

Really nice fish at Papa’s, three in Hull, but when they give obvious preferential treatment and free stuff to reviewers, puts me off going. Thankfully there is plenty of choice.

That was a 🐳 whale of a fish Deano, that meal would have lasted me a week. The holumi and salad looked good, nice to get it free. The chips looked lovely. It looks a nice place to try

I was in there early last month the fish was great but I thought the batter was just a bit too greasy but that night I was in the staff were run off their feet had to wait a while to get my fish and chips, people were just leaving the batter eating the rest and walking off.

just got back on Friday from three nights in Blackpool (we stay at the big blue, have done for the past 9 years, nice hotel) used to eat at Harry Ramsdens but found another one last year, 'The Sea' near the shopping bit, decent place. never tried Papas, will have to next time.

We uave a pappas in sheffield and there variety meal u get 2 sausage 2 fishcakes 2 hull paties 2 fish 2 chips and 2 large sides /peas curry gravy etc for 15£

Glad they didn’t ask you to stop filming, that wouldn’t have been a good look. Also like the fact the girl serving didn’t try and blag you when she didn’t know and asked someone else. To be fair they were very good when we went. It was a bit chaotic and we had to ask for a few items to be brought but the manager said some of the staff were only training so can sort of be forgiven for that. It was actually quite comical in the end 😂

Had awful experience at Papas few weeks ago...overcooked/dark chips...blamed on potato supplier! Also dried out fish.2 attempts to get meal correct....finally admitted on 2nd attempt that chips over cooked.I advised meal should never have come out of kitchen like they did!No refund allowed said manager Lee....seriously lacking Customer Service skills.Obviously better quality for this camera/review.

we have a Papas in Cleethorpes and one in Willerby. Been to both, the Willerby one for some years now - but over the last 2 to 3 years, their quality has dipped hugely. Poor, bland pappy batter (should be golden and crispy) with a tasteless fish. Disappointing as it was always a nice treat. Cleethorpes is awful! When they first emerged on the scene they were perfect.
