I went to the Georgian mountains to see snow BECAUSE I MISSED RUSSIA (no)

Recently I went to Gudauri, a ski resort in Georgia with my friends. In this video I will tell you about our journey. We will visit the Zhinvali Dam and Ananuri Fortress, and of course Gudauri. We will eat delicious Georgian food and feed cute dogs.
And the road we will take to Gudauri is actually called a Georgian Military Road, it is a major route that connects Russia and Georgia. It was unusual for me to be so close to Russia, I will also share my thoughts about that. I hope you like this video :)
In this video I will share with you how I spent this months. I will tell you about Georgian food, explore Tbilisi neighborhoods, run some errands and meet friendly dogs. Thanks for watching and stay tuned!

Like most other Russians she's just blocking it out like it doesn't exist on vacation living it up while her country is committing a genocidal war against Ukraine. If she wanted to do something helpful she should take her proceeds from this channel and help the victims of Ukraine. It takes a very nice person to feed homeless dogs I hate to see people just drop dogs off when thay grow tyred of them it's no that easy for me because I treat a dig as my Freind and when my love grows for one I just cant get rid of it like that thay become my family then and I can't turn my love off and on like the water fauset it's gods love and that's the love dogs have I lost my lil dog of 17 yrs in June and god it still hurts to think about him he would bounce upon my shoulder and I could walk enywhere with him there his name was bear he looked like a teddy bear when he was born I've. I loved this video! By the way, I think the Putin stickers on the restaurant doors are great because what you said about apolitical Russians is so true. So even if they want to feign ignorance, they wouldn’t be able to because it’s thrown in their face as a reminder that while they are enjoying a ski trip in another country, their reality still follows them wherever they go. In the United States, we certainly have the freedom to speak our mind about the war. With that said, Americans tend to promote a more positive vibe. So rather that say, "Russia Kills" or "Putin Sucks", you'd probably see something like "We support Ukraine".

Russia defended Abkhazia and Ossetia from Georgian attack in 2008 (the regions won autonomy long ago, when the USSR broke up). Georgians are still crabby about that. I sure hope that Russian tourists avoid that restaurant...though the Georgian government seems to be taking a more sensible neutral position these days.

This was really, really nice, Natasha. Lately I've been thinking I miss seeing videos like this. These quick looks at regular life always make me think about how similar we all are. It reminds me of my childhood here in the US. Even the walk down the snowy hill - I remember doing that to walk down to a little market to buy snacks, when I was growing up. I've always loved the snow, but unfortunately it doesn't snow in the area where I live now. People also don't get into the holidays as much as they used to, so a lot of the festivity is gone. I'm not religious either, but I am very fond of Christmas. When people used to get really into it here, people would make a big deal of snow and decorating and making holiday food and drinks and stuff. Christmas lights would be everywhere, and some of them were kind of ugly but some of them would look just lovely. Now it seems like people will buy each other gifts, maybe put on a holiday movie or something, and say 'Merry Christmas'/'Happy Holidays'/whatever else. Only a few random people seem to decorate much at all. Even my own family - who used to all get super into it - now do basically nothing other than small gifts. As it happens I have a horrible fear of heights so when you were on the stairs for that fortress place, you were saying you were scared to continue on and showed that pit next to the stairs and I was like "I see you're braver than I." 😂 As far as the stickers - there are bits of things like that here, but not a lot. I guess it makes sense we wouldn't have a lot, since we haven't been a direct target like Ukraine and Georgia have been, but there's still some. Certain people will have stickers on their cars, or things like that. Most large businesses won't because they don't want to get involved in political arguments - especially because in recent years there are more people who think that anything they don't like is a reason to get violent. Personally, I have a couple shirts I like to wear sometimes - one says "Futin Puck", and the other has "Russian warship, go f&^k yourself!"

@@badmonkey2222 With all due respect, her staying in Russia and trying to change things wouldn’t help anyone. She’d probably just be arrested and that wouldn’t be any good for Ukraine or herself. Also, why is it her responsibility to do that? I’m not Russian and I live a comfortable life and nobody gets all angry at me for not fighting for Ukraine. It’s not her fault she’s Russian, and it’s not like she elected Putin. Also, Natasha has done a lot to raise awareness about the situation in Ukraine, you can check her other videos to see that. She does help the way she can - like I try to. But it’s not like she’s a bad person for not trying to resolve one of the world’s biggest conflicts at the moment on her own. And last but not least, she has never said it was ok for the Russian government to strip Ukrainians of their lives. In fact, she’s been criticising Putin’s war for a long time now. You should learn more about her and her opinions before hating on her online. I understand this might be a sensitive topic to you if you’re Ukrainian, and if you are, I don’t judge you for being weary of Russians. But it is important to remember Russia’s government isn’t a democracy, and it’s not all Russians fault what is happening to Ukraine - it is actually a very small portion that is to blame for that, and even if bigger parts of the population support Putin, not every Russian does. I am very sorry about what is going on in Ukraine right now, but directing hate speech towards every Russian person isn’t the answer. There’s nearly 150 million of them, they’re obviously not all bad - nuance is crucial in these situations. I have this opinion AND I stand with Ukraine. These two can and should coexist. 🇺🇦

First I fully support anyone who is against the war and I fully support Ukraine and it's people. Natasha is 100% against the war and she does what she can to help end it. Once Russia decides to join the rest of the world in peace and harmony all the Russians that left may decide to go back or not, it's their decision to make that free choice which is what all of this is about. Yes, the upper floor there could be called a 'loft' - because it is open on one side to the lower floor. Loft's are elevated places that are typically open on one or more sides to the lower floors.

In not far off times loft was a sleeping space or a storage space under the angle of the roof. sometimes called an ATTICK or GARRET. in traditional houses in the Celtic country of Wales, the loft space was sometimes called a 'Crogloft' in the old Welsh language. It would be used for sleeping some of the family. Access typically by wooden ladder that was hidden away during the day. In my childhood I had school friends who slept in crogloft and had to ask mother to go there for toys during the day. Not long ago... about 1953.

I live in the North East US and it’s amazing how relatable your travel experiences are, they are so similar to the experience of the traveling I do in the US, Canadian. The negative attitude toward Russia existed prior to the Ukrainian invasion, as Russia has had multiple conflicts with Georgia (2008) and Caucus territories. Of course, the same sort of sentiment gets expressed toward Americans in the many nations the US has influenced with a heavy hand. Russia only poses a threat to the global central banking system. If I’m wrong, how many countries has the USA invaded? Count them. None were their neighbours. How many countries has Russia invaded? NONE. Ukrainian forces attacked civilians in Donbas in 2014. Putin waited EIGHT YEARS to respond! No, Putin is NOT a good guy. But Zelensky is a corrupt CIA puppet that has imprisoned journalists and closed churches. Plus, even according to the US State Department, the Azov Battalion is described as a terrorist organisation. Russia is responding to being surrounded by enemies, and is under financial attack. But their economy is surviving, whilst the west is suffering! This woman’s heart is in the right place, but she doesn’t understand what’s really going on.

It is so much fun to see what Georgia looks like and I am glad you had a fun Christmas with your friends. Where I live, in the US, we are all anti-war but we are not anti-Russian. There are many people here from Russia and other Slavic countries, as well as the entire world. I always see it best to be kind and look out for one another and be peaceful, not aggressive. We will not see stickers like that in our country. It would be considered rude. But we don't live close to Russia nor have we ever been occupied by them, so it is a different circumstance. I think you should invest in some hiking books for bad weather or any slippery paths you might go on during your adventures. Sneakers never have good enough tread! No more falling down!! Please don't feel bad because you are Russian. You are not Putin, you are not a soldier, you are a shining light! Be well!

Nice to see you travel into the mountains. Gudauri is not a good place to stay, too expensive, not that interesting. As ski resorts go it is quite sad. You should have gone over the pass and stayed in Stepantsminda or my favorite place to stay, the village Sno. Much much cheaper. Gudauri is such an ugly area. It is famous among Russians. But I have no idea why? The other side of the pass is where the beauty (and snow) is. But it was a little adventure for you.

In December 2008 The European Union has created The International Commission to Investigate the Circumstances of the War in the South Caucasus in August 2008, for an international study of the causes of the conflict. This commission, under the leadership of former UN Representative in Georgia Heidi Tagliavini, included independent military experts, it was allocated a budget of 1.6 million euros. The commission's report was supposed to be submitted on July 31, 2009, but it was postponed to September 30. On September 30, 2009, the Commission published its final report. It concludes that Georgia started the war.
