Dude, I don’t know why you don’t just get some washcloths and Soft Soap…That’s all you need to give yourself a quick bath in the van. The baby wipes don’t work that great and cost way more than you need to spend. Wet the washrag and put a little bit of soft soap onto it, just enough to be noticeable and then wipe yourself down…rinse the rag off and then wipe yourself down again from any soap residue…and you’re done.

For the pickle stain: mix 2 cups COLD water with one tablespoon of dish soap and one tablespoon of white vinegar. Take a stiff bristle brush and use the mixture to scrub the stain out as best as possible. If that doesn't get it *completely* clean, dampen a couple of paper towels with a solution of 1:1 vinegar and water, and fold them up and let sit on the stain for a couple hours.

Hey Ryan, RV's now come with a solar port on the side, so that you could have a 50-100 foot cable set out to a few panels, that way you can park in the shade and run your panels in the sun .....would work for you when you are in the wilderness....you always say you are hot, but if you park in the shade you could be more comfortable....a folding panel set up is about $100 now, or could do 2....

wondered if you have see the homemade PVC painted black 6" or so pipes with end caps and fill valves, and a hand held shower outlet, that people attach to the sides of the van roof, put a Presta or Shrader air bike valve on it, to pressurize the flow with a air hand pump, and can have a hot shower everyday by the power of the sun.....that could save you some energy too

I would put a tablespoon of liquid dawn dish soap in a bowl of cold water. Then with a cloth try to remove the pickle juice. Then I would rinse the spot with plain water and wash in cold water in a washing machine Do not put the pillow in the dryer if the stain is still visible after washing. It will set the stain. You can also use some oxyclean when you wash it in a washing machine. Dry on low heat. The faux fur is a synthetic fiber that can melt in commercial dryers.

Yeah he could definitely use a power upgrade. Maybe 1-2 more batteries and a beefy altenator to charge them up, even another solar panel or two if he has room. Would make it much easier going off grid for a week.

I find in general organic stores that are popping up are extremely expensive. Sadly we live in a country that healthy eating should not be a sacrifice with high costs. Many people buy lots of bread and frozen convienants or order out because it is cheaper. We really need to reframe our thoughts like countries I served while in the Army. Gardens or farms that had plenty would take to their neighbors. Sometimes here in Maryland near me the country areas in the summer time are tables set out by fields you are passing to please take what you need. From sweet corn, beans and fruits. I love to drive in the summer and find spots like this and leave a little thank you.

You should really consider going South. Doheny State park is an awesome place to van life imo. In fact that grocery store looks alot like Gelson's on PCH. You would swear military kids stock the shelves cause every label is aligned and every bag is perfectly arranged on the shelf, and it too is crazy as$ expensive lol Another cool van spot is Salt creek Beach. Down in SOcal its harder to find overnight spots, but once you find a place, youll never wanna leave

Dawn is some pretty scary dish soap - have started getting morning doves and other nasty poopers hanging out on far end of my balcony - most recommended soap to use (along with sand & baking soda) to deal with nasty bird poop on balcony concrete = Dawn - and yes it works 😂🤣 hope it worked with your pickle stain 🇨🇦🙏
