I typed "first lofi generation" to search for this. I remember back then in 2018, I had to work from 6pm to 2am in Shinjuku, Tokyo and then walk about 30+min to home. I always listen to shiloh and burbank lofi. That is an unforgetable experience. I have that flashback everytime I listen to those Lofi ( wind, rain, street light, and the silence). To be honest, my experience is the other way around. I was mostly restricted in my childhood and especially my teenagehood due to the constant work for my studies. I had sleepless nights to cope. I felt restricted and lonely because I was failing to live up to the expectations, responsibilities. I'm currently in my early 20s and I had never taken a such a deep, calm breath before.
