38 is the new cut off age for army and you can always try to join no matter your past. I'm not saying you will join or things have changed but crazier things have happened, so don't ever give up if you wanna fight then bug those recruiters with respect obviously but don't quit because u hit a wall everyone hits the wall but nobody wants to. I would love to help you get in no matter the cost I belive everyone should in they have no other plans. But sorry I'm rambling, iv been threw shit as well but I don't even know you and I have faith you will find a way to serve.

So true.When I was in process of joining the military I was running 3 miles almost everyday, push ups, and sit-ups etc.I ended up failing the hearing test due to my right ear.If you are going to do anything in life you have to forge yourself in it before you get there and you have to be true to yourself that you will go all the way.

I truly and deeply want to enter police/military academy, i've been losing weight, trained my physique just to be one of them and there's another thing blocking me from being able to enter the academy, and that one thing is having myopia. At my current state I can't even ID someone/something unfamiliar from 4 meters+ without my glasses. I live in Indonesia, you can't enter the academy if you need to use glasses on a daily basis for every activity you're doing. I'm 17 now, the limit for joining the academy is 20y.o. I have no idea if getting better physically would give me hope to even be eligible to enter the academy.
