Love the last version of the painting and have loved a couple previous versionss of it too. It's time for me to give abstracts a try. You're persistance in adjusting this piece is inspiring.

Hi Julia. Here in the States we have a special product called Workable Fixative specifically designed to fix charcoal, chalk pastels , maybe even oil padtels(I’d have to check the label). It doesn’t bubble the paint when you spray it on. And you can work over it too. If you were looking for the bubble effect that’s one thing but if you weren’t, then the Fixative would be a good choice. Just thought I’d share in case you hadn’t heard of it.🤗Your abstract’s coming along really well! Love that you’re persevering until you get what you want out of it!!

@ Julia I ran to get the spray can.Krylon Workable Fixative. 1306. Protects pencil, pastel and chalk . Prevents smudging. Allows easy rework. Acid free/archival-safe It requires a few coats but I’ve found it really works and will not smudge when I varnish using a brush.👍🏼

I really love the "vibrational visual noise" it reminds me of a beat of a song I used to listen to from Nine Inch Nails back in the early 1990's. 😍

I'm not getting your abstract but I know there are many layers to go. Looking forward to seeing when you think it's done. I really enjoy your process and letting us know what your doing

As artists, we put our heart and soul into what we create. It's a very vulnerable place to be. It can feel like we're naked on our canvas. Every stretch mark, every scar, every fear, every piece of pain is for others to see, especially when we're showing others our creative process. But also at the same time, our joy, our strength, our light shines through. You are a brave soul. It takes so much courage to do what you do. During the holidays we have wonderful memories and challenging ones. The expectations we put on ourselves can often be overwhelming. We want to be a blessing but often we forget our own self care while trying to bless others. As a reminder to myself, it's OK if everything is not perfect. As the Holy Spirit fills your cup, may it over flow. You are an amazing woman of God. This new transition Father is taking you through can be confusing and frustrating at times, but it's a good thing. This coming new year is going to bring you a new thing. Much love to you on this incredible journey! Isaiah 43:19 New International Version 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

In my very humble opinion, in this crazy world it's OK not to have "balance" within a work isn't it? The painting has energy and vibration with color choices so does it have to have balance? I think that we as "viewers" to pieces of art we always do not need perfection, right? Asymmetric art still has it's place, doesn't it?

I just don’t get it. I have never understood this type of abstract or the appeal of it, but as long as we’re having fun.
