Let me show you some Color magic: I can tell which number you picked. This is combine magic of Color and Math game. In this vide I will reveal the number you picked on starting of game. Don’t worry, you don’t need to do long or complex math but have to remember the color of 5 boxes. Looks easy, isn’t it?
This is color magic in which I read your mind with some basic math games and math magic. Here are all the numbers in the yellow grid in binary (with leading zeros added to make it five digits): 00010 = 2 00011 = 3 00110 = 6 00111 = 7 01010 = 10 01011 = 11 01110 = 14 01111 = 15 10010 = 18 10011 = 19 10110 = 22 10111 = 23 11010 = 26 11011 = 27 11110 = 30 11111 = 31 Every second to last digit of each number written in binary is always 1. Look at them align!

If you’re wondering how this trick works, it works because Binary does. In binary, numbers are represented by 1s and 0s. 0 is represented as 0, 1 is represented as 1, but since we can’t put in a 2, we move it to the 2’s place, which is to the left of the 1s place. 2 is represented as a 10, 3 is just a 11 ((2x1)+ (1x1)) and 4 is 100 ((4*1)+(2*0)+(1*0) The numbers on the top right of each slide are 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16. The other numbers in binary have the number of the top right as a 1. Like, if you chose 9, it would appear on the cards that have a 1 and an 8, as in binary, 9 is 1001 ((8*1)+(4*0)+(2*0)+(1*1)). As the only numbers there which were multiplied by 1 were 8 and 1, 9 would appear on the 8 and 1 slide.

Came back to this after implementing a little test for hamming codes, remembered about this from my GCSE Computer Science taster where we’d do this trick on parents and transitioning (from primary to secondary school) kids, so the reason why hamming codes reminded me of this makes so much more sense after now picking it apart years later lmao

The number 31 is not needed as you only pick the number from 1 and 30, so 31 is impossible

If 8 is the number that you started with and blue is "8" you have 8 and add nothing else. So it's like adding 0 to 8 and that's 8, your number.
