5:00 It's a type of solar plant that uses mirrors to focus sunlight on top of the tower, boil water and use steam to run turbines.

For anyone that's curious the technology is called "concentrated solar power". It's more expensive than photovaltaic solar panels, but might be easier to add power storage to. Essentially you just have to keep a hot thing hot. They also might run by heating up molten salt which then is used to boil water. I'm guessing Andrew was heading to California or Arizona.

It melts salt as a conducting element, and they use it to heat the water, beacuse heating water with this much of an energy "directly" would cause a lot of trouble

This is not possible in android because android doesn't support real time audio sample processing. I mean android has a severe latency compared to Apple phones, tablets etc. First, android phone companies need to make their phones with a real time audio sample prossesing. Then it will be possible. Otherwise they won't run apps like this. Said that. Don't ask to Andrew to make his app for android. Instead, ask to samsung to make their phones with real-time audio sampling prossesing like Apple.

The Android platform is notoriously difficult for music app developers. I hope that releases from Flip and Koala samplers are a sign that things are changing… or the programmers have evolved. 😼 Two years ago, Microcenter offered me an invitation to the Cool Kids Table for just $300. I strongly dislike many aspects of the consumer culture enforced by Apple, but I gave it a try. The iOS ecosystem is light-years ahead of Android when it comes to tools for music, especially thanks to their Audio Unit v3 framework. Yet my iPad has even worse file management and backup options than my old Moto G. I can't make music without storage. 😤 That iPad was my primary computer, until it became roadkill two days ago. 🤦🏿‍♀️ I guess I'm Team Android again. 😭

Hay Andrew, this app is amazing and the closest ive seen to a functioning mobile DAW. Two things I'd change. 1) More than 9 pads/tracks as it's nearly impossible to create a track with just 9 samples. You could do some sort of subfolder system where holding down on one of the pads creates a subfolder with 9 more channels/pads. 2) Automation is really finnicky when working on phones, so more grid locking would be amazing for that. Keep up the good work thanks!! 🙏

Hey Andrew. I'd like to take a moment to send out a big hello to you! I have really appreciated your videos. One of the things I really like about your channel is NOT seeing a scope. I have frequently wondered why we need to see what a square wave looks like. "If you don't know what a square wave looks like, look on the face plate of the module. It probably has one drawn upon it." NOT seeing a scope and actually *hearing* things is much more musical, and that's "kind of the point". Any-hoo... I am an ex-academic with a background in music theory and composition. I freelanced and taught for years and burnt myself out. I stopped writing music for 19 years (not a single note) and completely quit listening to music for 10 years (not a single note). I have just entered this world of mod synth in the last two months... and I am writing again! In fact, I have written about an hour of music in the last two months, which is blazing-stupid-fast for any composer. Anyway, I would like to thank you for what you do because it has helped me to get started. I will close by saying this -in reference to the adult irresponsibility of entering in to the mod synth world): "I am happy. I am broke. I am still happy."

Addendum: I can't tell you how many hours of instructional video I have watched in the last couple of months. Hundreds of hours. Present company excluded (that being you), I can't tell you how many times I have stared at the screen while watching someone's video and said out loud: "I am not learning anything here." I got a hot tip for you. The app should be free. It should be limited To a certain memory size so people have enough to play around but not enough to create huge songs. Maybe like a 4-track. In the 15 years or so of the mobile era I’ve bought maybe three apps total outright. However I’ve bought dozens to start it is free demos that just needed a payment to upgrade to a full version. And I can tell you I’ve been much more willing to spend more money after I’ve been playing with a demo. It would be hard for your developer to find a few ways to limit the full version and make it unlockable. I do know the technical side of selling it out right you just need to upload it to the App Store. But then having an upgrade Apple version means you would not have to have a backend server Checking authentications so maybe it would be best to have a demo app and a pay app.
